Lets see hear.what the water fill hoses are connected to is call the water fill valve.when you select a water temp.,electricty will then go to ither water valve coil or both for warm.so if your not getting hot it could be first that the fill screens at the hose at the water valve is blocked .but most of the time thats not true of hot because minerals drop out in the water heater before getting to the water valve, unlike the cold water.so if screen is clean, next would be voltage to the water valve.if its getting voltage but not working then its the water valve.if its not getting voltage then use the wiring diagram to see what componet is before the water valve.may be water selector switch or timer

My frigerdare affinity with not come on. Only makes aloud buzzing noise what do I need to do?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(this is pre-typed for hot and cold fill washers!)

From your description it could be that the buzzing is coming from one or other of the water inlet valves so-
If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

My GE washing machine just buzzes instead of filling with water, spin and agitate work fine.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Providing that the water supply is OK with no kinks or squashed hoses and the taps are fully turned on, this is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call to confirm that it is not something else ;-0(
Good luck,
John C

No water comming thru. Buzzing soundf

This is the water control valve. It should fill on either hot or cold. One of them will be good. The washer has one for hot water and one for cold.

My GLTF 2940 makes a buzzing sound like a relay not pulling in all the way, during the rinse cycle. If you shut off the washer, and restart it on the rinse only cycle, it goes away.

its probably your cold water rinse only valves solenoid thats loose on the structure or the coil itself is loose, you may not hear it all the time especially during the initial wash start fill, try this, set the washer for cold water fill only on the washer, but turn off the water valves that supply water and start your machine to a wash cycle as normal, try this and see if it dry buzzes(without water),then try the same on the hot side, then with the water still off open up the machine and you can localize the buzzing noise

Cannot get cold water to come into the washer

Turn off the water and reverse the hot and cold water connections going into the faucet, then turn the water back on. If only cold water comes out of the unit when on hot temperature then you need to order a water valve solenoid which I suspect is the problem or wash only in cold water. They are replaced by removing the back washer panel a couple of bolts, one connector, and two hose clamps. Remember to restore the hot and cold water connections.

Probably the water valve is faulty :( If you get hot water and not cold but hear a buzz from the back, you will need a new water valve. Hope that helps......

Kenmore 70 Series will not load hot water

It sounds like need to make some voltage checks on this job. When you set the fill cycle to hot & start the machine do you hear the valve buzz? If you do then the valve is causing the problem.

No hot water to wash

Is the hot water hot that is coming to the washer? Are you using the correct settings on the unit? If yes to both then either the solinoid water valve is bad or the timer switch unit is bad. Try going to a totally hot water setting. While turning on the machine feel of the hot water line at the machine and see if you notice a buzz or feel a click as you turn on the machine. On this setting does water run in and is it hot or cold. If water runs and it is cold try going to a total cold setting and see if you get cold or hot water. Is this a new setup or has it been working and stopped? If new, you could have the hoses connected backward. If you get water in both hot and cold settings but cold both ways then your hot water heater is not working....let me know....
