Question about Canon PowerShot G5 Digital Camera
My Canon G5 recently developed this problem: when I switch it on, the lens fails to extend, after a few seconds, the screen displays the word "LENS", the camera emits a few beeps and shuts off. This happens in both record and playback modes. There is no mechanical noise. The battery is nearly fully charged, I've tried changing memory cards, removing the battery for a day and giving the camera a good talking to. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.
