After charging, I can use it for 2-3 hours. So, how come is it a battery problem? Would battery life matters, if i am using with charger now?

Thanks for your detailed comments. I see what you mean. So, if i always run with charger, i shouldn't see any problem. But, if i put on battery, then i will see this issue.

if it works on the cvharger just fine but when separated from the charger it fails it is is an early sign of a collapsing battery. It may stay on for 2 -3 hours and run the screen etcetera but insufficient power to maintain the satellite connection via the SIIRFR chip. Beyond this is the isssue that the outgoing PORT is being lost as is the BAUD rate which are all associated with access to satellites and power. After turning off and turning on there is some recovery to the depleted battery and so for a time there is connection.

May be overheating. Open the case and turn on. There should be a fan working, especially if it's on the CPU.

Not getting a GPS signal. What do I need to do?

Usually, after you turn on the GPS device, it may take a minute or so to start up and lock into the satellite signals. While it is waiting to get a valid GPS signal, it is "listening" (scanning) for satellite signals to establish your current location.
If you are in the open outdoors, i.e. not inside a building or under extended covers, it should get the satellite signals within a minute or so.
If you still can't get a GPS signal, consider shutting it down ... using a "hard" shut-down (hold down the on/off button for 5 seconds or more ... to re-boot the system/software programs. Then, wait a while before starting it up again. Make sure your device is plugged in and/or the battery is NOT low when you're doing this.

Frozen/ always says waiting on valid gps signal

The same thing happened to my tomtom and this is how I resolved it. I turned the tomtom off and when I turned it on I held the power button; the screen turned completely green and when I removed the car adaptor the screen went blank. When I turned it back on it found the satellites in under a minute.
