Does this only happen when watching TV? Or on every input on the TV?
Ensure the connections between your cable source and the TV are solid and in place. Let me know if this fixes it, if not we'll move onto other solutions.
If you are saying that the picture is getting darker and you have already tried to adjust the picture through the menu feature on your TV then it is more than likely the cooling fluid around the CRT tubes. Over time the fluid in these tubes gets cloudy and causes your TVs picture to become dull and distorts the color. You can google tv repair kits .com and I believe they will have a kit for your model.
Check the ISO setting...it should be on AUTO or a lower number. Check the "exposure compensation"...it should be at "0"...you can set it lower for darker pictures.
I have a two and a half month old Sharp, LC-19SK24U-W. It was fantastic with fantasic, clear, beautifully colored picture until two weeks ago. All of a sudden, the picture starting getting darker and darker. Nothing had been adjusted from day one when I set up contrast, etc. This comes and goes but most of the time is an issue. I can make it a bit lighter but then it is so fuzzy and grainy it is a very poor picture. Also, while this began, one time the television turned itself off and then back on without a power surger or anything.
