I am very sorry but if even yahoo can't help then no1 else can even think of helping you. I'm sad for you and sorry to tell that you might have lost your all contacts until you remembers the SECURITY QUESTIONs or ALTERNATIVE EMAIL ID.

If this solution was helpful to you then please rate 100% (or FIXYA) for this solution, otherwise don't rate at all. It was my pleasure helping you.
With regards,

If you know your username correctly, you can first try resetting your password and then proceed to sign-in. To reset your password, you can refer to the following Yahoo support page:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-account/recovering-lost-forgotten-password-sln2047.html?impressions=true

If you do not remember your Yahoo username, you can recover it by selecting "I forgot my Yahoo ID" option on the Yahoo page below and then following the on-screen instructions:
https://edit.yahoo.com/forgotroot/

If you are still unable to sign-in to your account, you can refer to the following Yahoo support page for some more options:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-account/unable-sign-account-sln2051.html?impressions=true

Hope this will help you.

Hi,i'm unable to login my yahoo account. error:- invalid id /password. my yahoo password is not working pls help m,e

Don't panic, yahoo has a password retrieval process.
Just go to mail.yahoo.com and click on "I can't access my account" -> "I forgot my password" -> put your ID and then answer to the questions that yahoo asks you.

Hopefully you remember the answer to these security questions (these answers were defined by you when you created your account).

I can't get to configure my e-mail account"ojopojj@yahoo.com so that i can access it through Microsoft outlook

Per office.microsoft.com:
Add your Yahoo! Mail e-mail account
  1. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
  2. Click Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
  3. Click POP3, and then click Next.
  4. Under User Information, do the following:
    1. In the Your Name box, type your full name the way that you want it to appear to other people.
    2. In the E-mail Address box, type your Member ID (or username), followed by the @ symbol and domain name.
  5. Under Server Information, do the following:
    1. In the Incoming mail server (POP3) box, type the server name from the chart below that corresponds to your e-mail address.
    2. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box, type the server name from the chart below that corresponds to your e-mail address.
  6. Under Logon Information, do the following:
    1. In the User Name box, type your Yahoo Member ID (or username). Do not include the @ symbol or domain name.
    2. In the Password box, type your password.
    3. Select the Remember password check box.

 Note   You have the option to have Outlook remember your password by typing it in the Password box and selecting the Remember password check box. Having Outlook remember your password means that you won't have to type your password each time you access the account; however, it also means that the account is vulnerable to anyone who has access to your computer. Use strong passwords that combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Weak passwords don't mix these elements. Strong password: Y6dh!et5. Weak password: House27. Passwords should be 8 or more characters in length. A pass phrase that uses 14 or more characters is better. For more information, see Help protect your personal information with strong passwords.It is critical that you remember your password. If you forget your password, Microsoft cannot retrieve it. Store the passwords that you write down in a secure place away from the information that they help protect.

  1. To verify that your account is working, click Test Account Settings. If there is missing or incorrect information, such as your password, you will be prompted to supply or correct it. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Click More Settings.
  3. On the General tab, under Mail Account, type Yahoo! Mail.
  4. Click the Outgoing Server tab, and then select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box.
  5. Click Use same settings as my incoming mail server, and then click OK.
  6. Click Next, and then click Finish.

 Notes

  • Do not select the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box.
  • Unless specified by Yahoo! Mail, all server and address entries are typed in lowercase letters.

I am a long time user of yahoo.com. Unable to access yahoo mail I can not remember password

Go to log on page for Yahoo Email, type in User Name, then click on "Forgot My Password", (right under User Name), they will send you your Password to the Email Account you used when you registered with Yahoo.

(If you really don't have anything in your old Yahoo Email account you wanted to save, just re-register with a different User Name).

Hi There, In the US, getting my yahoo email (using Mail program on a MacBookPro) (yes I have yahoo plus) works like a charm. But here in Canada, most of the time, the password gets rejected... what's give?

To set up access to a free Yahoo! Mail account in Mac OS X Mail:

* Install MacFreePOPs and make sure the freepopsd service is running.
* Select Mail | Preferences... from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
* Go to the Accounts category.
* Click + at the bottom of the Accounts list.
* Type your name under Full Name:.
* Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (e.g. "example@yahoo.com") under Email Address:.
* Type your Yahoo! Mail password under Password:.
* Make sure Automatically set up account is not checked.
* Click Continue.
* Make sure POP is selected under Account Type:.
* Enter "Yahoo! Mail" under Account Description:.
* Enter "localhost" (without the quotation marks) under Incoming Mail Server:.
o If you run into problems using "localhost", try "127.0.0.1".
* Type your full Yahoo! Mail address ("example@yahoo.com", for example) under User Name:.
o Mac OS X Mail probably has already entered your user name, and it's enough to append "@yahoo.com" to complete the address.
* Click Continue.
* Click Continue again, ignoring the error. We'll take care of that in a bit.
* Make sure Password is selected under Authentication:.
* Leave Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) unchecked.
* Click Continue.
* Select an existing mail server to send mail under Outgoing Mail Server:.
o You cannot send mail through MacFreePOPs. If you have no outgoing mail server through your ISP, you can use a Gmail or AIM Mail account's.
* Click Continue.
* Now click Create.
* Highlight the Yahoo! Mail account in the Accounts list.
* Go to the Advanced tab.
* Enter "2000" (not including the quotation marks) under Port:.
* Close the Accounts window.
* Click Save.

Access Free Yahoo! Mail with Mac OS X Mail Using IMAP Over IzyMail

To add a free Yahoo! Mail account in Mac OS X Mail using IzyMail, which provides access to all mail in all folders seamlessly:

* Make sure your Yahoo! Mail account is registered with IzyMail.
* Select Mail | Preferences... from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
* Go to the Accounts category.
* Click + under the accounts list.
* Make sure IMAP is selected under Account Type:.
* Type "Yahoo! Mail (IzyMail)" under Account Description.
* Enter your name under Full Name:.
* Type your complete Yahoo! Mail address under Email Address:.
* Click Continue.
* Enter "in.izymail.com" (not including the quotation marks) under Incoming Mail Server:.
* Type your full Yahoo! Mail address under User Name:.
o If your Yahoo! Mail address is qwertui@yahoo.com, do type "qwertui@yahoo.com" (omitting the quotation marks).
o Mac OS X Mail probably has already entered the user name for you. If you already find "qwertui" in the User Name: field, just append "@yahoo.com".
* Enter your Yahoo! Mail password under Password:.
* Click Continue.
* Type "out.izymail.com" (without the quotation marks) under Outgoing Mail Server:.
* Make sure Use Authentication is checked.
* Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address under User Name:.
* Type your Yahoo! Mail password under Password: again.
* Click Continue.
* Click Continue again.
* Now click Done.
* Cloe the Accounts window.
* Click Save.
* Open the _Draft folder under Yahoo! Mail (IzyMail) in the folder list.
* Select Mailbox | Use This Mailbox For | Drafts from the menu.
* Open the _Sent folder under Yahoo! Mail (IzyMail).
* Select Mailbox | Use This Mailbox For | Sent from the menu.
