...if all 3 lights are on...
This is a laser mirror motor problem.
If you are a little bit technician then...
Remove all cables, open front panel, remove the cartridge, remove the 2 screws on top and 3 on back side, remove a white latch from underside left (or right i don't remember ).
With a small screwdriver release 4 tabs that hold back cower and remove it.
Pull a little bit on under front edges for releasing two little tabs and remove the whole cover by lifting it..
Now you can see the laser scanner unit with a yellow label on it.
Remove the screw, release the tabs an remove laser cover after removing one or two little cables over it.
You can see now a rotating square mirror fixed over a little disc, secured with a little plastic black tab.
DO NOT TOUCH THE MIRROR WITH BARE HANDS or you will make it dirty .
Rotate the black tab to release the disc, remove the mirror with a clean cloth, and put a small drop of synthetic oil on its rod... that's all.
Hope you can do it.

Thanks, Finge! It worked! But what you call "a rotating square mirror" is more like a shiny nut with a screw that goes through the center, that screw being what you call "its rod." Just adding a bit of description. Great help. Thanks again!

There is an adjustment to be made. Loosen the bolts and adjust the rotation until the specs are met.
MX-3 with 1.6L DOHC and 626/MX-6/Probe with 2.0L Engine
MANUAL TRANSAXLE
  1. Detach the connector from the throttle position sensor.
  2. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals IDL and E.
  3. Insert a 0.004 in. (0.1mm) feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw and stop lever.
  4. Verify there is continuity between terminals IDL and E.
  5. Then replace the feeler gauge with a 0.027 in. (0.7mm) feeler gauge, verify there is no continuity between terminals IDL and E
  6. Then open the throttle wide and verify there is no continuity again between terminals IDL and E.
  7. Next, connect the ohmmeter between terminals POW and E.
  8. Insert a 0.004 in. (0.1mm) feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw and stop lever.

pandres, Your monitor will need troubleshooting to find out reason why the 2 "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" fail to remain lighted. They provide "white light" so you can see what is on the lcd panel. Connect a "known good" monitor to your pc to prove monitor is bad. If pc is ok, then your monitor will need repair. This type problem not new and is very common for all brands of ccfl back-lit lcd monitors. Watch some video clips at YOUTUBE that show disassembly and repair of ccfl lcd monitors. I replaced an ink cartridge because the printer stopped working and showed a message that the old cartridge is empty. However after putting the new one in but the printer still refuses to work and shows...

maybe the cartridge is wrong, release it and clean the electrical contacts, put them again one by one, if notting happen, try this
Solution As the printer operates, it moves ink from the ink cartridges into a printhead reservoir. The printer does not deliver a message when an ink cartridge goes empty, because it still has ink in the reservoir. The printer continues printing until the ink level in the reservoir falls to a first trigger point - then a message appears advising the printer owner to Replace Cartridges Soon . At this point, other cartridges that are empty but have not reached the trigger point are also mentioned in the message, to save trips to the retailer. After the first trigger point, the printer can continue printing until ink levels in the reservoir reach a second trigger point. At the second trigger point there is only enough ink left to perform vital servicing tasks, and a new message appears, saying Ink Cartridges Empty . The options offered depend on the usable inks remaining. If no options are offered, the cartridges indicated must be replaced before printing can continue. The Ink Cartridges Empty options are described in the table below: Ink colors out Option Print mode possible All Cancel None Black

AND

Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow (any or all) Black only Continue with other colors Cyan/Magenta/Yellow mode (composite black)

Text and photo quality will differ from those printed when all colors are available Light Cyan or Light Magenta (either or both) Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow (any or all)

(Black still available) Print with black ink only Grayscale

High Pitch whine during acceleration

Hi Pullerwife,

I have a few suggestions for you,

First of all, check your air filter, make sure its clean, not clogged, and doesn't need to be changed.

I don't know how handy you are, but if you are fairly handy, check the idler pulley bearings, if your not, have a shop check it out, as a last resort.

Power steering pump/fluid being low is also a possibility, but thats usually more of a lower pitched whine then what you describe.

You say once the vehicle is warmed up, the whining stops. Does Weather seem to be a factor as well?

Hope I've helped, and don't forget to rate.
