I can't find the icon to turn onthe sound on the monitor any suggestions ??

Usually you would have a speaker icon in you taskbar at lower right of screen. If you move you mouse pointer to bottom of screen, does the taskbar pop up? The taskbar might be in auto hide. You can also try going into "control panel" and right click on the "sounds" speaker, icon and open. You should have a window pop up with your device(s). Click on the "properties" tab, then on "levels". Make sure they are turned up.

My icon for the battery power monitor has dissapeared from my taskbar can you help me get it back please

Do you have Windows 7? If so, you can right-click on the bottom right corner of your desktop (try right-clicking the time/date), where the icons for volume control, wireless, battery, etc... should be and select Properties. You should then see a screen where you can turn on/off the icons/notifications for battery power (sometimes my volume control disappears and i have to do this.
Otherwise you can go here, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons and you should find the same thing. Then just turn on your battery power icon/notifications.
Hope this helps.

I can't get my icons and taskbar to center on my monitor. The start button is off screen to the left. How do I center everything so I can access them?

Press the OSD (On Screen Display) button on the monitor.
Use the UP/DOWN and LEFT/RIGHT buttons to navigate through the menu, to get to the "horizontal position" menu.
Press the OSD button to "select" that setting.
Press the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to "move" the image LEFT/RIGHT.
Press the OSD button to "apply" the new location.
Wait a few seconds, and the OSD menu should close itself.

Icons and everything displayed sideways

If you're referring to the taskbar that's usually on the bottom of the desktop, click on the taskbar and drag it to the bottom. Then right click on the taskbar and check "Lock the taskbar". This should solve your problem. All the best.

TASKBAR PROBLEM

*Right click the taskbar and make sure the "Lock the Taskbar" option is NOT ticked

click and hold a blank space of the taskbar and move the cursor to where you would like it to be sitting so if you would like it to run across the bottom of the screen move the cursor while still holding down to the bottom of the screen, this should make it look more like what it should :)

Thanks!
