I remove the nut by putting the proper size socket on a breaker bar and stabilize it against the frame somewhere. Turn the key ***Just far enough to BUMP the engine*** This will loosen the balancer nut enough that you can remove it. When putting it back on, make sure all the plugs are installed. Tighten it the best you can. It will clinch when you start it up.

I replaced all balance springs. Still don't balance?

The washer is dancing across the room? Are the transit brackets removed? One on the motor, one across the top. Never known springs that needed replacing. With the top of the drum should move left and right a lot and backwards and forwards a little.

The washer must be level left to right and back to front. All four feet must be adjusted to sit evenly under the same pressure.

Bulky items or single large items will cause uneven balance. A normal load of socks, underwear, shirts, and a coupe of dish towels should keep balance as a test.

Harmonic balancer removal

I have removed several of the harmonic balancer bolts, and it is difficult to hold the harmonic balancer from spinning when you remove the bolt. The bolt is normal thread, and removal is counterclockwise. There is a Honda holding tool you can get, or possibly borrow from a autoparts store. I always use either an impact wrench or a long breaker bar, and hold the harmonic balancer from rotating with a chain style wrench. I use an old belt to keep from damaging the damper pulley.
Good luck!

Pentair 011523 pump shaft seal is leaking. How do you remove the impeller and motor?

Separate the plumbing portion of the pump from the seal plate which is attached to the motor. The bolts will be a 9/16 inch hex head, that are visible facing the motor. Remove those bolts. That will then allow you to pull the motor and the seal plate away from the plumbing portion of the pump. Remove the diffuser which is covering the impeller, and then the impeller will need to be unthreaded off of the motors shaft. The motors shaft, will need to be locked. You can do this by removing the Cap on the backside of the motor and you can use whatever tool required to keep the shaft from spinning. Once you are able to lock the shaft, you can read the impeller... Note* some styles will have a screw in the middle of the impeller securing it to the motors shaft? This screw is Backwards thread, not normal thread. If your pump has this screw, need to remove it first, then you will be able to unthread the impeller off of the motors shaft.
once the impeller is removed, you can then remove the two halves of the shaft seal. Very carefully reinsert the new shaft seal into the proper places, just the way they were prior to you removing them.

Reassemble in backwards order as you disassembled everything.
good luck

Bottom pully. 1990 mit mirage wagon . i have tried with a air gun but it still won't budge.

are you turning it the right way, most harmonic balancer bolts are backwards thread, if you have tried both directions put a socket and breaker bar on the bolt then rest the breaker bar (still attatched to the bolt) against the chassis and then turn the car over with ign, the bolt always tightens against the rotation of the engine so the turning of the starter motor will undoo the bolt for you. hope this has been helpfull.

Harmonic Balancer

need a harmonic balancer puller.. Can be rented at some auto parts stores. Some will sell them.
It threads into the hub of the balancer and has a bolt in the center that is rotated to exert pressure on the crankshaft.
Each rotation of the bolt will create more force and move the balancer a little at a time until it is clear of the end of the crankshaft.
