Can't setup dual monitors on ati radeon x1050

Hello
You might have installed ATI's CCC, "Catalyst Control Center", along with the display drivers. I suggest you download the latest combo-CCC and drivers for your video card. ATI comes out with new drivers pretty fast. When using dual monitors CCC is where you want to setup your monitors. After you set up the catalyst control center you'll find it much easyer to assign what monitor displays what. One other suggestion. ATI will want you to uninstall any other software for your ATI card even though all you have is ATI software.
Hope it helps, if so do rate the solution

My acer monitor doesnot display its original 1400x900 resolution. i am using amd X2 processor with ati vga driver.

If you are running Windows XP, go to www.filehippo.com and scroll down to lower left of screen to Drivers. You will see ATI Catalyst Drivers 10.10 XP (or use this link)

If you are using Vista or Win7, go to www.acer.com, Support and Drivers, input your PC model number/serial number, your operating system and you will be able to download the latest ATI driver. Double click on the driver to install it.

I have an ACER Aspire 5535 and am getting a Warning "The Catalyst Control centre is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adaptor. Please update your ATI graphics driver or enable...

HI pewilson929. The Catalyst Control centre is a program that lets you configure your video card settings without using the Control Panel - Display. It installs when you download a driver for you specific ATI product. If you get this error it means you may have the correct driver for your video card. Did you get the driver from ACER or ATI?
Just in case uninstall it from Add/Remove and restart and then download this driver from the acer's website.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if this works for you. Thank you :D

ATI Radeon X1250 for Windows 7

From: http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx

Note: AMD’s DirectX 9 ATI Radeon graphics accelerators are not officially supported under Windows 7. If the user chooses to, they can install the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista graphics driver under Windows 7. Please be aware that none of the new Windows 7 graphics driver (WDDM 1.1) features are supported (as the Windows Vista level graphics driver is limited to WDDM 1.0 level support). Using the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista driver under Windows 7 is not officially supported by AMD, and as such AMD will not provide any form of customer support for users running in this configuration.

Software diver

The official Catalyst software comes with the driver package from AMD (who now owns ATI) and you do not have to pay for it. If your version is asking you to pay you do not have the real thing. You can get it at http://ati.amd.com/products/catalyst/index.html

may result in the game failing to load and the operating system failing to

ATI Radeon IGP 340mM/345M display driver or software needed..

Go here:
ATI Catalyst 8.2 - ATI Radeon - XP

Then, near the bottom of the page, click on:
Individual driver download packages, ATI Multimedia Center, Avivo™, and Korean full package and download the Catalyst Control Centre package (download 2 of 3)

Here is a direct link, but i don't know if it will re-main active:
AMD GAME! Drivers and Utilities
Then click on "Catalyst Control Center (English)"

This package will only install the ATi CCC. I personally have found that the ATI CCC doesn't like older cards, but some people have had luck getting it to work. If it doesn't work, you'll either have to find an older Catalyst Control Center, such as the one bundled with the Catalyst 4.10, or go back to using an old version of ATi Catalyst Control Panel.
