Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
Has anyone else had this problem? My washer doesn't want to drain out the excess water at the end of the rinse and spin cycle. It sometimes just stops and says do, or it will say end and when I pull the clothes out to put in the dryer, the clothes on the bottom are sopping wet. Have had repairman out for the second time today. I will start another load of laundry to see if he fixed the problem this time. He cleaned something out of the pump the first time and something like hair this time. Shouldn't there be some sort of catch for stuff like that so that it doesn't affect the pump?
Need to see a picture of how to take off the front loader

Our Neptune ran into this trouble each time a spin cycle went wonky / off-balance. The repair guy (when it was under warranty) would simply take off the front of the machine (VERY EASY... see URL: http://groups.msn.com/Appliantology/washers.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=888
) and push the reset button on the bottom of a little a 2" cube near the floor. This button gets reset when the machine is off-balance after the drum makes it hit the floor. Just reset it & try a rinse cycle to see if this fixes the problem.

I have a water leak coming from the joint where the tub ties together. How do I fix it?

The solution here worked like a charm. The 2nd time around - turns out when my unit 'bottomed" out it jiggled the swith a bit lose - the second attempt I hade to jostle around and move it back into the right position and reset. after that it worked again as usual.

You may want to open the back and check the drain hose, sometimes coins get in there somehow and block it from draining and cause all kinds of error messages, I found this takes care of most of them..Thanks.

Is it full of water or just sounds like there is water in. These machines always sound like they retain water but this is efficiency apparently. They do get bunged with over soaping but running it empty should cure this. Take the drain hose out of your upright exhaust and place it near the floor, watch out flood, but gravity will let you know if the pipes blocked. Make sure extra rinse button is off. Could end up being broken pump, you can only take it off and check it.
