these fans must be reset as follows remove the battery from the remote manually turn off the wall power switch put the batteries back in the remote turn on the wall power switch press the remote buttons...if this doesn't work let me know

There 'should' be a small switch just below the fan blades on the center dome that will slide up or down. It is usually square and black. Slide it in the other direction....
