Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer
I have tried everything, including taking off software & restarting. I spoke with HP for 4 HOURS NOTHING? We went on vacation cut power to house, come back & printer doesn't work?
If you mean Ink System Failure, it is usually caused by a mechanical gear failure inside. Refer to http://www.fixya.com/support/t439120-ink_system_failure_error_message

Its probably dried up ink particles on the cartdridge and the contacts in the carrier.
First, if your going away for a while, its good to remove the ink and replace with new ones. They tend to settle and dry up if left sitting for too long. Thast why they are sealed when you bye them, to keep the contacts from getting buildup.
Try using a wetted paper towel and cleaning the contacts on the cartdridge and in the printer carier.
have printer unplugged when doing this.
Also, check the manual, theres often a key function that you can do tyo return the printer to factory defaults.
