Is it during the wash cycle? That is air getting past the drain flapper. If you install a trap in the drain line it should go away.

There is a solenoid that keeps the water in the washer. It is either faulty or there is something preventing it from closing completely. If there is no power applied to the washer, does it then hold water?

Hello, i have a Kenmore Quietguard standard dishwasher. it is in the "lock" position under dry options and the dishwasher will not start. can you tell me how i might be able to re-start this?

On our Kenmore Quietguard the lock light is at the Air Dry button. Holding the Air Dry button for about 8 seconds turns the lock light off if it is on and on if it is off.

Try turning off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker box. leave the power off for 5 10 mins and then turn breaker back on and try to restart dishwasher. This may reset the board and it may work
