Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

My screen is all blury

The screen on my Creative Zen V Plus (2GB) is all fuzzy and i cant see the writing on the screen. I tried to fix it by rebooting, disc cleaning, and even the mp3 menu items.

You should be able to adjust the brightness by going to Main Menu -> System -> Display Settings
also see what the contrast is

Try to use another USB cord maybe the cord you use is faulty already so try to use another. Use also the other USB port.

I have a creative Zen 2GB & when I turn it on it has to rebuild libraies and then once that is complete it freezes on the one song & I cant turn it on or off

Ok just fixed mine by pushing pin into reset hole. Hold play button turn zen v back on format player. yes you will lose your data but its better than buying a new mp3 player. download zen firmware update plug player in and update. This problem is caused by a corrupted file so the only way to fix it is full formate.

Creative zen v plus start up screen freezes when switching on

I had this same exact problem. To solve it I plugged into the computer (if computer doesnt read it its ok ) then pressed the reset button for about 5 seconds. you should see a screen . Then press the play and power buttons on at the same time and you should get a recovery screen. You have three options. from ther you can rebooot and automatically upgrade the firmware after its been downloaded from the creative website. Hmm.... i got a brand new ZEN and it SUX...i wish i could sue the damn company... its the 2nd one i buy...

It is definitely NOT cost-effective to repair it. Ask your local Geek Squad if they are willing - probably no - minimum $250. If you live in Philadelphia or another major metro, see if they have Mp3 repair servicemen - most places do not because the actual builders/info is in Korean, Japanese, etc, and b/c it is less expensive to replace than to repair.

Make sure you have media player 11
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
Download recovery tool off creative's website.
go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them

Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable

Creative Zen nano plus write file delayed

My creative zen nano plus 1GB bought 6 months back, when connected to the comp it hangs...then after long time it gives an error message that write file delayed in F:. I didn't even try to write any file...the right click also hangs the computer after long time
