Question about SanDisk Memory Media

1 Answer

Sandisk sd/transflash disk

Hi, my daughter has media files (music and pictures) on her phone memory card - and we have the correct sandisk adaptor to insert it into my printer - the Epson RX420.

Once in, Removable Disk (G:) appears but we can't see anything.

Double clicking G: in Explore brings up a dialogue box saying that "the disk in drive G: is not formatted" and "do you want to format it now?". Both "Yes" and "no" have zero effect.

I can right-click on the G: in the file list and select Properties - and this bring up a panel with four tabs - General, AutoPlay, Tools and Hardware. All seemingly sensible combinations have no effect...

There's got to be a simple answer ! Please help...

Oh dear, formatting the drive may have caused all your files to be erased. usually when formatting it, it will warn you that doing so will remove all files on the device. try putting the card into the computer to see if the files are still there. if they are, you may need to transfer them onto a new portable storage device that can be recognised/read by your printer. hope this helps :)

Can't sync music to your G1

T-Mobile is issuing an over the air upgrade for all G1 phones to correct a software problem not allowing music files to sync properly using Windows Media player.

The best solution for now is to remove the memory card from the phone. Install it into a SD card adaptor and insert it into a card reader. Windows Media will sync playlists to your memory card properly using this procedure.

I cant transfer my ringtones from my san disk to my phone

Hi chad0872,

First and foremost, you can't do anything if you don't have all of the components needed to do the job. You will definitely need a computer. More importantly, you will also need a Micro SanDisk and TransFlash to SanDisk adapter. The Micro SanDisk is a very small device, approximately the size of a chip. The disk is placed in your phone to store your phone's items for transfer. The TransFlash to SanDisk adapter is used to access the SanDisk files on your computer. Your SanDisk should be at least 256MB for sufficient storage space.
Once you've established and obtained everything you need, you can now begin the initial transfer process. Insert your Micro SanDisk into the phone where your ringtones are stored. Access the Media Folder or Content Management folder in the phone. Highlight each ringtone file you want to transfer. Open the Options' section available for the ringtones and opt to move your ringtones from the phone's storage to the memory card. Once the transfer process is complete, remove the memory card from the phone
Now that you have moved your ringtones to the Micro SanDisk, place the Micro SanDisk into the TransFlash SanDisk. Insert the TransFlash SanDisk into your computer. This expandable memory slot can usually be found in the from of most laptops and next to the USB slots on the front panel of desktop model computers. Once the insertion is detected, your computer's AutoPlay dialog window will appear or an import options will be given. When the ringtones' window opens, drag and drop the ringtone files from your Micro SanDisk to your computer's desktop screen. Then transfer it to your phone,,,,

good luck with your fix,,,
have a nice day,,

Regards
Arul

How can you import pictures in inbox on cell phone to the microchip SD 2gb inserted in phone?

Micro SD cards for cell phones are now costing less and are holding more memory. 4GB SD cards can hold an estimated 1000 songs, over 13,000 images, or 22 hours of video individually. 2GB memory cards hold roughly half those estimates and 8GB SD cards would hold double. So if your cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif has a SD card slot learn how to utilize this expandable memory option on your device. Follow these steps and you will soon be enjoying your music, pictures, and video on your phone!
  1. Insert your SD memory card adaptor (with micro SD card inserted) into your SD Card drive on your computer. This should open a "Secure Digital Storage Device" or similar window. If not, go to "My Computer" to locate your SD card and open it.
  2. Step 2 To transfer picture files to your SD memory card, open the folder or file that your pictures are stored on. Simply click and drag a file or multiple files and drop them into your SD Card window or folder. You can also copy a picture and then paste it to the SD Card.
  3. Step 3 To transfer music files to your SD memory card, open your "My Music" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the music from (Itunes, Yahoo Music...). Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  4. Step 4 To transfer video files to your SD memory card, open your "My Videos" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the video from. Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  5. Step 5 Take out the SD memory card adaptor from its drive. Remove the Micro SD card (small chip for your phone) and insert it into the SD Card drive on your Blackberry, IPhone, or other compatible cell phone.
  6. Step 6 Go to your media, picture, or music folder in your cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif menu. Select which item you are looking for and your files will appear!
