Question about Acer Aspire 5100-5022 Notebook
This is a pretty common issue. The drive has become old and tired. Go into the device manager and click on the dvd drive to see what model it is (likely uj-850). Search it on ebay and order a new one. To replace it there is one screw on the bottom of the laptop about 4 or five inches back from the middle of the drive. Remove it and the drive should just pop out. Slide in the new drive and screw it down and problem solved.
Hopes this helps
