My Razr got soaked by ocean water when a wave hit me. It showed signs of life at first. I could make calls, just not see the screen. My Konica Minolta camera fared much better; I dried it with a hair dryer and after a day it completely recovered.

I had the same thing happen to me last night. I tried drying it out with a hair dryer, but no luck so far. My keypad illuminates, but nothing else seems to work. Do I have any hope? Again this just happened a few hours ago - perhaps it will dry out on its own? Please help.

Long story short, I was going to bed and threw my phone to the left of my bed... right into my glass of water. I've been reading and it says the best thing to do is to take the battery out and leave it face down in a freezer or paper towel. I've been reading into my warranty, and of course, it does not cover water damage.. the only thing is, my phone didn't even come with stickers >.>
So please, just tell me what I should do. I won't get it repaired because it costs 75 USD and my insurance would replace my phone for 50, but still, I don't want to spend money! What are my options? So far I've taken the battery out (after multiple times of trying to get the phone to work), used a hair dryer ON 'COOL', making sure not to melt anything, and I put it in the freezer to set over night with the circuit board facing down.. Any tips guys?

I had the same problem, my phone got wet. We read somewhere online to put it in the oven on a low temperature setting... I have no idea how, but it works fine now! But i cant charge the battery with the wall charger, but the USB charger works fine!

I dropped my phone in the sink, i immediately got it out and dried it off. the screen worked just fine last night, but now the sreen wont respond to my finger.

Water has leaked into the screen from the sides. Try resetting the phone... remove the battery (if your model allows it)

Otherwise, you try this.. to try and recover the touchscreen. Yo may have to take it in for repair if this doesn't solve it.

My Android Fusion was dropped in water and now won't turn on

Sometimes these things take a while to dry out before they perform the way they're supposed to. Stick it in rice for a few days more. I've had luck with placing it near NOT ON a heat source to aid in drying it out. You don't want to scorch the thing, but leave it in the rice for a couple more hours to days & see how that goes. You should be up and running in no time.

Nokia N76 flashing screen

Hey my mom had this phone and she dropped it in a bucket of water and she experienced the same problem. I had an e8 on which i dropped coffee and had my phone randomly going to some applications and just flickering. Notice I said HAD.
Now if i have to say one thing it's....RUN TO THE SERVICE CENTRE. Don't sit and dry it it won't help. At the most it's going to delay the inevitable. Go to the Nokia service centre or any really good service centre and tell them your phone's experienced water/liquid damage. The only fortunate thing is that you have a nokia which is easier to fix than any other manufacturer. They'll have to open up your phone and then dry it and remove every last drop of water because your phone will rust from within if thats not done. The worst part here is that it'll take a week or two to happen. Just when you think you can't believe your phone actually made it through this and can't believe your luck your phone is going to have a major breakdown. So trust me after having two phones spoilt by water damage i wanna tell you to go as fast as you can. Don't delay it or pretty soon you're gonna find yourself online asking which phone is a good choice to buy.
