All 4 lights keep on blinking on my controller

You may need to "Sync" the controller to your Xbox console.

1) Press the sync button on your Xbox 360. The green lights on the Xbox will swirl.
2) Press the small white button on the controller (between the bumper buttons).

After a few seconds, the position 1 green LED should light up on the controller.

My xbox 360 wireless controller will not connect to my xbox 360 console even when i press the button that scans for the pad but it still turns on the xbox 360 when you press the middle button on the pad

Turn off both the console and the controller, then follow these steps:
  1. Turn on both the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and the Xbox 360 console.
  2. On the console, press the connect button. (to the immediate right of the memory card slot on the console)
  3. On the controller, press the connect button. (Look on top of the controller for a small button.)
  4. The green lights that surround the Guide button on the controller and the power button on the console spin and flash when the controller is being connected to the console. After the controller is connected, a single green light illuminates on the controller and on the console to show you which quadrant the controller is connected to.

The white wireless contoller from an older white x box 360 does not connect with the black kinnect x box 360 we just purchased.. i was told they were compatible why doesnt the white controller work with...

There is a sync button next to the Play and Charge port on the controller, all you have to do is press both the sync button on the Xbox and the controller and it should connect. On the nonslim Xbox 360's the sync button is right next to the infared sensor and the memory card slots. On the slim Xbox 360 the sync button will be right next to the usb ports on the front of the Xbox 360 console. When you successfully start the sync the led's for the controller's and console's lights will spin and be ready for you to press the sync button on the other device.
(PS, you have to have both the console and the controller on for this to work; PPS, By controller on I mean having it searching)

Xbox 360 wireless controller cant connect, the guide button four lights dont stop flashing

You have to sync the controller with the console by pressing the small button on the top back of the controller and the small button on the front of the Xbox 360. After both are pressed at the same time they should connect.

Wireless controler won,t connect to consol

I'm sure you have tried most of these steps but I'm going to list them any way. So we have a complete picture of the trouble shooting process.

1. Sync system first (By pressing the sync button on the system)
2. Right after you hit the sync button on the system, hit the button on the controller

Try replacing the battery's and or rechargeable battery for the controller. Repeat the sync process above.

Try another controller with your xbox or try your controller with a different xbox. Repeat sync process above of course.

If another controller works with your system than that would indicate that there is an issues with your xbox controller.

If your controller works with another xbox and no other controllers work with your xbox than there is a issue with your console.

For issues related to the xbox I would suggest contact xbox directly by calling 1800 my xbox.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

I have just purchased another wireless controller for the xbox 360 and do not know how to connect it.

sync the controller to the xbox :-)
press the little button on the controller (near the LT LB buttons) and with-in 2 seconds press the sync button on the front of the xbox !
pressing These will make the green lights on the controller & the xbox rotate until eventually just the first player L.E.D stays on indicating player one :-)

play & enjoy :-)

hope this helps ??

Just keeps flashing not doing any thing eles

is it wireless. if so press the little wireless button in the front of the controlle(between the top triggers) and push the same looking button on the 360. they should sync. if it's wired, then you might have a bent pin in the plug wires or the controller is no good.

Wireless XBox controller won't sync with the PC adapter

I finally found a solution that works for me (most of the time). I bought a USB hub (un-powered at the moment) and the problem seems to have disappeared. The Hub however isn't the solution. Running the controller or the hub from the rear motherboard ports is.
I was initially using the 360 wireless receiver from the front ports on the PC which are driven by a different circuit on the motherboard than those from the rear of the PC.
When the receiver is run from the rear ports or in my case a hub powered from the rear ports it works most of the time.
Ocassionally the receiver doesn't link with the 360 controller however unlike last time when pressing all kind of combinations of re-sync buttons did nothing, all I do now is press the very tiny white button on the front of the controller and it links up like it should within 1.5 seconds.
I hope this helps guys as the controller is great when working.
