This might be a good time to read the manual in book form or in pdf form, but I believe it is in the section "Changing the tone of an image".

SOURCE: cannot get back to Automatic mode on video

With camera dial on video, rotate the scroll wheel located around the direction button until Standard is selected. DO NOT push function set first like the manual says.

SOURCE: Sound gone from camera video recording

Reset the camera to factory settings.

If still you are experiencing the same problem, then you will need to have your camera reviewed by a qualified technician to have it repaired, since it requires to open the camera and evaluate the main board and microphone circuitry..

How do I change the color from color to black and white on a canon powershot A590IS?

Press the FUNC/SET button. Use up/down to select ]My Color] (the fourth item from the top). Use left-right to select BW. To get back to "normal," select OFF.

It's in the "Shooting in a My Colors Mode" section in the manual.

My g9 was playing video clips very fast. i changed the setting back to "standard" and can record/play new videos correctly; however, the video clip that i previously recorded before i changed the setting...

I believe the setting you changed set the RECORD method, not playback. The video is recorded that way. There are some Video software out there that can rerecord a video at a slower pace, but do you want to spend the money? Try Ulead.com for a low cost program.

Black and white

Start with using the program mode. Press function setting. On left menu select the 2nd button whic is "My colors". Now, at the bottom menu go about four spaces, which should be BW. If you want great videos on the G10 visit the following site; www.lbguides.com
