Mouse has mind of it's own

My cursor on my mouse just roams all over the page on it's own. I have replaced the mouse and it still does it. I took my PC in and they checked it for spyware and found one file and deleted it. Still have the problem. It is a USB mouse. Any suggestions?

I already replaced the mouse and it still did it. I have now gotten a mouse that connects other than with the USB port. So far so good! Thanks.

Your OS is out of date and now obsolete. Win 10 has the patches you require for stability.

My mouse is not moving, it is stuck. pls where to i click or touch to make my mouse keep moving again thanks.looking forward to hearing fro u.

It is possible that you accidentally hit the click-lock button, usually located below the little screen where you move the mouse by fingers. Try to hit that area again, and release the mouse cursor to roam the screen again.

Good luck,

When I try to send eg. e-mail cursor jumps back

Two things come to mind.
1) bad mouse. Try a known good one.
2) touch pad has problem. Try turning that off in your mouse settings.

Cursor jumping, pages scrolling on own

bad mouse action , no other words need be said just that.
NO OP SYS STATED BY YOU< XP?
if the mouse is a wireless mouse, the battery is dead.
if the 1 mouse is wired it is bad.
if there are 2 mice connected , shut one down 2mice not allowed.

if the mouse pad is enabled then that is 2 mice if usb mouse used.
and not ever good to do that,
disable one of the mice. (easy no? rules)
i disable my LT here, , in control panel, device manager , mouse pad synaptic or what ever it is.
RC right click disable, it , I hate mice pads././/

Suddenly the cursor moves back to a previous line and continues typing making a joke of what I'pingm typing (see it just did it)

make sure the mouse cursor is further down the page from where you are typing. If your text continues over the arrow of the cursor and any static electricity or touch is detected by the glide pad of a laptop or S.E. from a mouse it will move the text cursor to where the mouse cursor is.

This is a continual problem with sensitive computers.

sorry there is no permanent "FIX"
