SOURCE: emodio no longer displays the portable device (samsung 4g YP-P2)

k this is how im getting "through" it, unistall emodio then downlaod it again...
when it (emodio) asks you if u want to run the update, cancel it, im guessing it was something in the previous update that screwed us all over but if you skip the update your MP3 should register fine.
Ps: dont worry if you re-install emodio ontop of the one you already have it should keep all your songs registered also, but dont quote me on it.
hope i helped !!!

Really ticking me off. P2=great but there is a few teething problems that you dont get with ipods.

How do i reset the password for this device.

In YP-P2 Manual it says: If you forgot your Lock password, connect to a PC and run the EmoDio and reset the password in <myEmoDio>. For further information, refer to <EmoDio>
If you search emidio it doesnt exist anymore so pls use the steps: 1. Go to samsung.com 2. Click product registration 3. Follow the procedure and register your product 4. Make sure your media player is connected in the computer when you do this. 5. After that you can reset your password. Hope this helps!

Lost media studio installation cd, now wat? + wenevr i put a video on my p2, it says ''not supported format''

Use Emodio, and emodio.com. Its better than the samsung program anyway. You can get them both at the samsung site, just look up by your model number and go under the pic and click the software tab

Not really a problem...just need some advice

I just picked up this player after reviewing it for a couple of months from best buy for $149 (8 gb version). it comes with the most up-to-date firmware already on it (i have firmware 5.10 on it now) so it eliminated the hassle of getting an older one and having to update the firmware on it.

as for the player itself, its wonderful. I upgraded from the samsung T9 to this one and i have noticed a drastic improvement in the sound and image quality. The features the YP P2 have on are outstanding for such a "low-budget" device (subway map, FM radio, voice recorder, bluetooth, alarm clock, make calls on your phone via the mp3 player, etc.)

As for sync-ing files from your computer to the player, you have to use the Emodio software to synch any necessary files. Since having my older samsung i am familiar with the emodio/ samsung media software, however it is very easy to use and to sync. All you have to do is locate the files on your pc, bring it to the library for Emodio, and then literally click-and-drag over to the mp3's window and it syncs automatically. I have not had any problems synching videos, pics or songs (so far, lol).

If you want a high quality player that has a big enough screen to watch videos and still fit comfortable in your pocket, as well as packed with a bunch of programs and a premier quality video/ audio player, then do yourself a favor and get the samsung YP-P2.

P2 player

The video formats have to be in .svi thats the only format the player can pick up, emodio or the media player should do this. If not you could try to download a file converter and convert them into the right format maybe.
