Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

Networked LJ P2015dn was working beautifully for months; all of a sudden refuses to print because it shows either "no paper" amber light (not true) or "paper jam" amber light (not true). Have been tearing my hair out for nearly a week--unplugging and re-plugging all cables including power, USB, and Ethernet, checking entire paper path exhaustively, removing and reinstalling (new) toner cartridge, etc. Help!! ;-)

Hi,

Take the Tray 2 out and check if all the paper guides are moving freely if they are than remove the toner cartridge and check if any toner sensor is not align correctly.
If they are aligned correctly than next to the pickup roller there is a small piece of plastic make sure it should be hanging freely if it is than we need to perform cold reset of the printer.
Switch off the printer press and hold down the go button and switch the printer on keep holding down go button till the time three lights lit up on control panel, as soon as three lights lits up release the go button and let the printer initialise of it s own.
If that doesn't fix than Formatter Board of the printer is faulty.

Logic:
If there is no paper jam and printer rep[orts the jam means either any of the sensors is not aligned correctly and reporting the jam or formatter Board(Motherboard) of the printer is faulty and showing incorrect display.

Pull the paper tray all the way out.

Pull down the plate and look.

Open the rear door and look for jammed paper.

HP P2015dn wirless connection stopped working


Hi,
There is not wireless netwrok card is HP LJ P2015dn, However as i can understand you r using External Wireless Router or Wireless network or jet-direct card if u r able to work fine on USB than printer printing mechanism is working fine.
If u connect the printer via wired network connection and it keeps on loosing IP address than it may be problem with onboard network card of the printer.
If printer keeps on loosing IP Address than try upgrading the firmware of the printer.
To check the firmware and IP Address of the printer print a configuration page by pressing and holding down green button for 6 to 7 seconds

HP LJ P2015DN making noise/squeaking


Hi,
As you mentioned that the printer makes loud grinding noise or squeaking when page comes out than i feel this is the noise coming out due to faulty fuser.
I want to be sure so please open the rear bin and try to print if still noise comes than i m sure it is fuser.
If there are smudges on the printed page or if some film coating is coming out with printed page than fuser roller are physically damage.
However in this case i assume fuser is faulty.
If there opening the rear bin noise goes off than top output rollers are faulty.

Hello,

If the printer has three amber lights on, it could be Paper jam light, toner light and attention (triangle) light, then your printer has a fatal error.

Printer definitely needs repair
Issue can be resolve by swapping the formatter board for testing purpose (if you have another model of same printer)
