SOURCE: bobbin problem

When you thread your bobbin and put it in the case the thread should be on the left side of that little arm on the bobbin case. It allows the thread to slide off that arm.

Another issue could be your lower tension. You may need to loosen or tighten it.

I had the same issue and the above two things eliminated the problem.

SOURCE: I have model 1477 and the spool thread does not

It sounds like a timing problem - the shuttle timing and possibly the needle timing needs setting. unfortunately this is a job for a mechanic.

Singer 2662 bobbin case keeps popping out.

Check our bobbin for burrs and damage. If the thread catches a rough edge it can pop the bobbin out. Try a different bobbin with new thread... see if that helps. If it does your current bobbin is likely trash.

Hope that helps.

Thread pops out of needle

change the thread
put in a new needle--normally flat side goes to the back of the machine
keep a thread tail of both top thread & bobbin of at least 3 to 5 inches & make sure the thread is pulled behind the needle to the back of the machine

The top thread is not pulling through once it catches the bobbin thread, and is just winding around the inside, each time. Then it jams and pops up the whole bobbin casing. I've cleaned out any dust, but I...

You have to make the first stich by hand using the hand wheel and pull the top thread up. It will loop around the bobbin thread and then you can pull it up and lay both threads to the back of the machine before you start to sew.

The thread bunches up under the material when i sew. thread then clogs up under the plate.

first start with the needle & see if it's bent-roll the needle on a flat surface & see if it roll correctly
when a needle is blunt it makes a popping sound when it goes thru the fabric
check the bobbin to see if it's warped-I have had some that were
check to see if there is lint or loose thread in the bobbin case area
rethread the machine to make sure the upper thread is not catching on anything
sometimes the thread can come off the thread take up lever
& sometimes it can get caught on the spool pin & also on the notch that's on the thread spool it's self---I've had this happen before
if you sew alot-good maintenance practice is to clean the bobbin case area at least once a week-if you don't sew alot-once a month & also under the needle plate
when cleaning under the needle plate-make sure you do not damage the top of the screws when you remove them to clean under the needle plate & because if the top of screws get damaged they can pull the fabric when the fabric goes over them
check also to make sure your top tension is correct

The bobbin case on my Singer Inspiration 4210 sewing machine keeps popping up in the back causing my thread to bunch up underneath. What is causing this? Is the bobbin case in wrong? How is it supposed...

From what I gather on other sites, your thread has to be threaded under tension.... You have to make sure you hear a click when your bringing your thread down to the bottom of the "arm". Also, I thought the bobbin case was rather loosely held in its place, I adjusted this by unscrewing the black plate and moving it over just a smidge. The bobbin is supposed to have some wiggle room, but it kept popping up and making the tiny adjustment seems to have done the trick....for now...

Bobbin case is popping out, and machine is birdnesting

Usually when this happens the bobbin is in wrong, replace it make sure the thread is going out the right way, make sure there is no lint or small pieces of thread around or underneath the bobbin area. Make sure you thread it with the foot up. Also make sure you are usng the right bobbin for the machine. They can easy get mxed up.
