Question about Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Open Question

How do I clear or reset Paper Jam E3 code when there is no paper jam?

I have tried everything from turning the printer upside down to clear any foreign objects to inserting cardboard manually into the feeder. This problem occured after several sheets of paper fed through and got stuck while trying to print. I removed all paper in which none were torn. I have been trying to print for one week now with no luck

SOURCE: E3

Don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. E 3 was the error code i had flashing. Paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
Yesterday someone replied to my problem, i tried it this morning and its fixed 1st time.
Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving push/ram it through! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now

SOURCE: Canon PIXMA MP160 showing paper jam, but none

hi
just recently had these problems
symptoms:
LED flashing E3 code and alarm light was solid. But dissapeared when opened the coved and came back on when closed the cover.
Also the when the cover was open the inks did not slide out to the left and stayed to the right side.
There was no paper jam, but error said paper jam.

Solution:
1. I took a thick piece of paper, from like a paper folder ones, thick enough to go in the printer and not curl up when pushed..
2. turned off the printer and turned it back on.
3, while printer was turning on,and makings sound as it does normally when turning on, I pushed through the piece of paper and the rotors stoped for a millisecond.
4.the rotors started again and pushed out the paper by it self with out my force.
5. I let the printer get started. and then turned it off and then on.
6. this solved all of my problems.
this was the first problem ever with this printer in 3 years.,preety good printer.

good luck...

Check the paper feed tray for bent papers. Also, try blowing over the sensors to clear any debris. Check for small pieces that may have been left behind. If all fails, unplug it from the outlet, then start it up. Good luck!

Clear the paper jam message but there is no paper jam

Hi
To clear the paper jam check for any visible paper jams. If there are none then remove the toner cartridge and inspect for any bits of paper stuck under there. Hold the printer upside down and try and shake it gently to remove small bits of paper. Open the rear door of the printer and try to find any visible paper stuck. After this turn on the power to the printer. Hope this helps... Please post back if more help is required.

What Does E3 mean

E 3 means "Paper Jam". If there is no actual paper jam, but the error cod E3 is still there, it might be that something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there. First, remove the cartridges, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it to see if anything comes out. If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything, what you need to do is simulate a paper jam (it thinks there is one, so give it one!). Just shove a paper (120g or heavier) inside the printer (after lifting the hood up) so that a real paper jam would occur. When it starts trying to feed the paper through and its getting jammed lift the cover up and take the paper gently out. You'll then get a bunch of the lights flashing. Turn the printer off and then back on and you should be good to go.

Persistent E3 error message (jam)despite there being no paper in the machine - will not clear

  1. Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
  2. Step 2 Turn off the printer.
  3. Step 3 Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  4. Step 4 Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. Step 5 If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
  6. Step 6 266_a1.jpg If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. Step 7 266_a2.jpg If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.
  8. Step 8 Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. Step 9 If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

First off, NEVER EVER turn a componant upside down and shake it. Second, open the printer up and search for any additional paper. A lot of time a paper jam isn't just one sheet, especially if you have a faster printer. I would also try using some rubber rejuvinator on the printer so that it picks the paper up better so it goes through the printing cycle better.

Under one year old pixma mp150 all in one/ changed ink cartridges/error code E2 / saying no paper ????

I have had a MP 150 Cannon Printer with a E3 paper jam code..when NO visable paper jam is present ! Your No paper problem may be as a result of similar issue due to a small piece of paper stuck in the roller assembly out of sight. TRY this, Turn printer off wait (10 seconds) or more then turn printer back ON and listen for roller assembly to turn the ROLLERS and then FORCE FEED
a sheet of paper into rollers until it PULLS paper through and SEE if any scrap of paper comes out with the sheet !! If this works you should see that it clears the code. and resets your printer.
Let me know if this works. Phil at [email protected]

GOOD LUCK !

Sometimes when you get a paper jam the carriage that holds the ink becomes jammed and you have to reset the printer to get it to work again.

E3 code error mssg on printer MP160

As you will probably know E 3 on Pixma is paper jam.

Double check that there is no paper inside, and turn printer upside down shaking it a bit to check if there is any small foreign object (screws, pins, coins etc.) stuck inside.

When there is no jam in the paper path, this problem is typically caused by a broken part in the paper feed mechanism, in the page unit.
The paper feeding mechanism has two white plastic gears connected together with a central spring, near to the waste ink tank, at the bottom of the printer.
This are quite delicate, they often get stuck or boken, or you lose the spring, and the printer stays stuck with E3 error.

Dell 924

**HW support: 877-459-7298 and you must have the Express Service Code of your printer or any Dell product you're calling in so that they can route you to the right department.** Usually, if you're having paper jams, it could be a mechanical problem with the printer. Try these: - turn off the printer. unplug the power adapter for 1-2 minutes - lift the printer upside down and shake it sideways (strange huh?... usually, this helps because it can re-align those things that may not be aligned right inside the printer) - then, adjust the paper guides and use about 10-15 pieces of paper. try using the printer. if it's still the same... it really is the printer. - if it's still under warranty, Dell can replace it. This information is from Dell, try it it can't hurt.
