Question about Garden
I have a 1 year old 42'' troy built rider. I used it about 5 times last summer and then parked it in the garage. I started it this summer and it ran for a few minutes, blew out white smoke and stalled. It will start, run for about 15 seconds and stall. After continuous atempts oil started driping out of the exhaust. Aside from a damaged ring is there any other posablities
You have a valve that is stuck in the open position head will need to be removed
then spray valves with wd40 and turn engine over a few times watching to see both valves open and closing, once that is working install head with new head gasket.this is caused by not properly storing the unit. gas should be drained at the end of every season and then ran to burn all gas off from carb and fuel lines once it quits remove sparkplug shoot a tablespoon worth of oil in the cylinder crank engine over for 10-15 seconds to distribute oil on cylinder walls and valves then re install plug now your unit is winterized ready for the next season
