Question about Craftsman 26 Hp 54" Deck Yard Tractor

CH6 OIL code

How do you reset the code once the oil & filter have been changed? There appears to be no switch or button; the manual does not even mention the code system; I disconnected the battery - that was no help either

I had come to that conclusion. Once the time reached 103 it reset. I had not bothered to update this post as it appeared no-one read it in the first place.

    Thanks

If I just changed my oil and filter on yardman 20 hp 725cc why is it blinking ch6 oil and red light is on

ch6 Oil code

What you are actually getting is Chg Oil (change oil). This is preprogrammed in, as a reminder for you to service the engine. It will go back to the hour meter mode after about 1 hour of additional runtime. If you have changed your oil and filter, there is nothing else to do. The oil and filter need to be changed regularly. If the oil breaks down in your engine, it will lose it's lubricating properties and the engine will seize up.

NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. I have a 2001 LS Lincoln. No owners manual. The dash has a couple of codes on an led type screen for "change AC filter" and "change oil" messages. I did the work but the messages still...

Look for the Information Center panel above the Audio controls.. There should be 4 buttons labeled Fuel, Setup, Reset, and Status. With the engine running, press the Status button until the change oil required message appears, then press and hold the reset button until the message appears that says oil life restored to 100%. Do the same for the a/c filter.

How do you reset the service engine light on a 2006 525i

In 2006 BMW developed what they Condition Based Service (CBS), this means even when you change the oil and filter, the only way to reset the service indicator is to take it to the dealer, to be hooked up to thier computer. I have the same problem, I am waiting for some aftermaket code breaker to be developed to fix this problem. Hope this helps, let me know.

The mower is programmed to remind you to change the oil every 50 hours. It will continue blinking for 2 hours. It will begin blinking again at 100 hours and every 50 hours after that. There is no manual reset.

first off, using any cleaner around your oil filter is a no no......just use a little oil on the seal. try letting your bike warm up for about 10 minutes........check oil level. make sure its not too low.........that should take care of it
