SOURCE: wont print

Usually with most samsung printers they have a toner waste bin in the printer. As you print, the waste toner dumps into this bin and fills up over time. Your printer manual may tell you where this is, but usually its right in the front of the printer when you open it up. It usually looks like a white or black plastic bin. There should be a plug on it that you can pop off and dump out the waste toner. After doing that put it back in your printer and it should get rid of the message.

Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: How to solve the problom

Laser printers "print" by throwing toner onto a electrostatically-charged drum. The ink that sticks is then heated, and melts into the paper. The ink that does not stick falls into the "waste-bin".
Eventually, that waste-bin gets full, and needs to be removed, and emptied.

SOURCE: i have emptied the toner

The Toner waste bin should be made transparent enogh to pass the light to detect the sensors.
Even after cleaning the waste toner waste bin if thie MFP shows the error you may clear the memory by calling samsung service center, or an alternate the service center may help you for further assistance

Wash it out with rubbing alcohol and let dry. Apparently there is a light sensor that will throw up this error if the bin is dirty.

SOURCE: Replace/Install toner waste bin error

The toner box is probably full. The toner box is a clear box on the left side when you open the front cover. The box has the labels Y, M, C, and K on it. Pull it out using the tab at the bottom. find a place to empty it. You can do this by turning it upside down and gently tapping it. If the box is full some toner may be outside of the box causing the sensor to be blocked even after it is empty. You may want to clean the box, toner cartriges and inside the cavity with qtip, tissue paper (without lotion), or air.

What solution for samsung clx3175 asking intall image unit

Dear ,
Kindly refer the following link,
http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/printers-accessories/CLT-R409/SEE
This imaging unit needs to be replaced after it complete its life (6000 color pages/ 24000 mono images)
To replace first you need to takeout the toners and waste toner container ( a transparent/black container on the left hand side)
after that you may take out the imaging unit.
after that put the new imaging unit.

put the waste toner container and put back the toners.

If problem persists please provide your feedback.
Best Regards

Is there a way to empty the waste toner bottle for a Konica Minolta Magicolor 550 printer? I'm a teacher with zero budget, using a donated printer.

**Disclaimer** Following these instructions may expose you to fine particulate matter. We sometimes run into situations where customers just will not pay for a replacement waste bin. I am not 100% sure with Minolta but we do this with Lexmark printers all the time. Remove the waste bin and attach a plastic bag over the hole where the toner enters from the printer. Seal it as much as possible. Hold the toner bin so that the hole is facing down and tap it lightly. This should cause the toner to fall back out of the waste bin into the bag. When you have gotten as much out as possible, wait for the dust to settle and then pinch off the bag as you remove the bin. Seal the bag and dispose of. Use a dry cloth (swiffer)to wipe any excess toner from the bin. Put bin back in and restart the printer. This should give you some more life. If you get toner on yourself or clothes, rinse in cold water not hot. Hot water will bond the toner to your clothes.

CLP 510 error

Sir,
Inside the front cover of the Samsung CLP-510 printer is a "Waste Toner Bin" - this bin collects any toner which is not fused to the paper during the printing process. The photo at the left shows the waste toner bin installed in its correct position. As you print, the waste toner bin "fills up" with wasted toner, and you have to replace it on a regular basis. Other printers send waste toner back to a separate compartment in the toner cartridge, however Samsung prefers to sell you and additional "consumable" - apparently the $130 cost of the toner cartridges (x4 cartridges = $520/refill) just isn't sufficent revenue.
In the photo below, we see the waste toner bin removed from its operating position, and lying down on the printer door - Just tipped down from its normal place.

Note (1) - this is an optical sensor which detects when the waste toner bin is full - A "bump" on the bin (2) fits into the sensor notch when the bin is in position. An optical sensor looks though the "bump" and is supposed to detect when the toner reaches this level.
Note that one of the inlets for waste toner (3) is just above the sensor "bump" (when the bin is in it normal position). You can also see the round feed which goes into this hole, just above the sensor notch (1).
The problem occurs because the waste toner being injected into the bin "runs down the side" through the sensor "bump" - after a little while, this dirties the walls of the "bump", and although this is nowhere near as opaque as the actual toner, the sensor is sensitive enough to decide the bin is full and shuts down printing. In my opinion, this represents two fundamental flaws in the design:
  • The toner inlet should not be positioned such that toner entering the bin runs through the sensor area.
  • The optical sensor should not be so sensitive that a little dirt is detected as a full bin.
It is interesting to note that Samsung explicitly advises that you not empty and reuse the waste toner bin - The overly sensitive sensor pretty much guarantees that you cannot do this, as it is virtually impossible to empty the bin without getting toner into the sensor bump, after which the printer will refuse to print and direct you to replace the bin.

The Cure The first time this happened, I noted the dirty sensor notch and cleaned the area - It lasted only for a few pages, at which time I contacted Samsung to report the problem - No matter how I tried to explain the situation to them (over several days of correspondance) the only response I could get from them was "the bin must be full - change it".The new bin lasted for perhaps 100 pages, at which point the dreaded "replace waste toner bin" message appeared. Samsumg responded that I should clean the external sensor (I had advised them that I had tried cleaning the external sensor in my first contact with them).
TO DATE - SAMSUNG HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEGE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE DESIGN OF THE WASTE TONER SYSTEM.
To confirm my theory that toner entering the bin via the inlet was dirtying the sensor area, I added a baffle made from tape as shown on the left - This cured the problem - Note how dirty the tape has become! (It WAS clear tape)... a LOT of toner was passing through this area!
Worried that the hot toner might melt/burn the tape baffle, I have since replaced it with one made from aluminum foil - Using only a single layer, with a fairly thin part that passes through the hole and is taped in place on the outside. It is important to get the part passing through the hole to be as flat against the side as possible, as it has to fit in beside the inlet from the printer - too much thickness or wrinkles here could cause a messey leak. It is also important that the baffle NOT be so long that it would prevent the sensor notch from filling from the bottom - this could cause the printer to overflow the bin - which would not be good... I recommend that you check the waste toner bin every time you change a toner cartridge.
