um sounds like there is no sound input, if you are running rcas ensure they are plugged in and the radio and headunit, and check for a cut in the cable, this is very unusual not to have any power output at all, triple check your headunit outputs, and your amplifier inputs, make sure you arent crossed anywhere. hope this helps
If you are using the factory headunit, it is most likely an amplifier problem( check your fuses).Bad news:You have to have the factory headunit and amplifier for either to work. Good news: There is a lot of options for aftermarket setups. You would have to do a complete rewiring.Check out www.6thave.com
you might have one of the speaker leads grounded, which can cause some stereos to short to prevent damage... check your speaker connections and disconnect power to the headunit for about 5 min then repower up.
remove headunit and check if everything was installed properly. check if the fuse on the headunit isnt blown out. check wiring for speakers, for example for some reason they became loose.
Hello dobbyville11, It might be a few things but here is what i would check 1st, pull out the head unit make sure all the wires are pushed in all the way.
The second thing i would suggest is checking the connection to the battery and ensure that the ternimals are clean and a good connection is available.
If there is something else it might be that you hold down a button while it starts, I know of some headunits that need this.
Please post what you do and how you did it.
I look forward to your post.
There nay be a wiring issue with your amp. When you are running a CD more power and sound quality is envolved so the amp works harder. Check the amp make sure everything is where it should be.
I have the same HU and the same processor as you. First I only used the chinch cables to the processor, and from the changer.
The improvements you make; your headunit DAC and your chancher DAC wil not be used anymore. The differens; normal with a cd you convert a digitalsignal into analoge, in the HU or changer, and then you make it digital again in the processor, en put the signal analoge into your amp.
The advantage is; the processor uses the famous Burr Brown DACs and that is know by its good sound processing.
Sounds like a bad connection with the faceplate and the multi connector that the faceplate mates with when closed. check for dirt and bent pins on both connectors.
Luck
