Well to clean out the super NeS console you need to open it up with a 4.5mm bit tool and use compressed Air cans then to clean them out. Lukie games sells a 4.5 mm game bit tool.

When I start my NES up it comes up with a white screen and does nothing else once it gets to that point. I've tried using an old NES cleaning kit and that helped it go from a flashing screen to that solid...

There is a 72 pin cartridge slot inside the NES that wears over time, I believe replacing this should correct the problem. You can pick one up for about 5 bucks.

My screen on my tv turns white when I turn my NES on? What is wrong?

The console is having difficulty reading the cartridge. Check the console for dust and/or dirt and give it a good cleaning with a can of condensed air. Also check the cartridge for dust and blow that out thoroughly. It should work after that. Put the cartridge in, making sure it's pressed in all the way and enjoy!

Note: Some NES consoles get a bit finicky in their old age so you might need to make sure the cartridge is in there firmly. I still have my NES and after 21 years it still works great.

My nes keeps shutting on and off do?

The flashing screen (or blinking light) problem is very common with the NES. The system turning off and on is caused by the lockout chip is not recognizing the cartridge and prompting a reset once every second. This problem is usually caused by either a bad 72 pin connector or your game contacts being oxidized with a greasy film or dirty.

The solution is to first clean your game contacts to see if that fixes the problem. I would recommend getting a game bit key and taking the game apart for cleaning, but if that is not an option, use a q-tip with electrical carbon cleaner (such as Deoxit) to clean the metal contacts. If your games are clean and you still have the blinking, it's probably time for a new 72 pin connector.

Nes wonnt turn on, but when it does red light is flashing

Did you replace the 72 pin connector while it was apart? This is the number 1 reason for NES to fail to load or flash. A brief search of "72 pin connector" on eBay should net you a new connector for about $5 US.
If you have already done this, and the problem is really bad then recheck your work and make sure everything is connected tight.
Also consider that allot of nes games were not taken care of very well, so if the problem is specific to a couple cartridges, consider cleaning them as they are probably not connecting well.
Good luck.

I have changed the pin connector on my nes, it does not flash anymore but now i get a blank screen can someone help me?

First try connecting through the av ports on the side of the console rather than the RF port on the rear of the unit.

If that doesn't work then your problem is likely a loose connection inside, go back in and reassemble.

I have had this issue with several consoles; these two solutions usually take care of it, though in rare cases a defective 72 pin connector was at fault even though it was brand new.

Good luck.

Nes flashing black and white and making a horrible sound

a 'front load' nes ALWAYS does this, even if the connector pins inside the console are new. the cartriges on a Front Load nes rarely completely seat, as Nintendo redesigned the Famicom very poorly for the US market. try this 1. put the cart in as usual, but hold it all the way down 2. slip an unwanted/extra cart in on top of the metal hoop above the cart your using. this gives a better contact for the cart. try cleaning the cartrige pins as well. some won't read right if there's ANYTHING on the pins.

If the power light blinks you most likely you need to clean your games. A Q-tip with a bit of alcohol on it will do. The best way to clean your games is to get the proper tool and take them apart. Then you can use a pencil eraser to polish the contacts.
