You need a gas connection .then flex tube channel locks or a pipe wrench and some Teflon tape. Connection should have shut off valve.should be shut off. Put Teflon tape on threads then connect the connectors. Open valve.check your work twice listen and use your nose for a foul smell.

I have a Whirlpool clean top stove with a cracked stove top. Can I get a replacement top & is it easy to install or do I need a professional to install it?

Yes, you can get a replacement stove top for your Whirlpool clean top stove, and it depends on the model and the availability of parts. You may contact Whirlpool customer service or check with a local appliance parts supplier to see if they have the replacement stove top in stock.
As for the installation, it will depend on your level of experience and comfort working with appliances, as well as the specific model of your stove. Some stove tops may be relatively easy to install, while others may be more complex and require professional installation.
Generally speaking, installing a replacement stove top can be a difficult and complex task that requires a certain level of technical knowledge and expertise. It's recommended to consult the stove's user manual or contact Whirlpool customer service for assistance with installation instructions or to find a professional to do the installation.

My whirlpool SF265LXTS oven turns on properly, but the oven itself isn't getting hot. The gas stove top and broiler both work fine.

It sounds like you might have a clogged burner plate or manifold. You should call a certified gas repair service. This could be very dangerous, even deadly.

My 3 year old barely used Whirlpool Gas Oven has stopped heating. The gas stove top still works. Whirlpool customer service told me to clean out the gas chamber with a pin...there's nothing TO cleanout....

Just had a repairman here today March 31, 2010 for the same problem. $350 repair bill. There was a short in the gas valve that cause it to go bad and it also blew out the ignitaion computer board. Forget about replacing the ignitor. I already did and that was not the problem. So the qauestion for you is pay for the repair or buy a new stove.

Whirlpool oven heating element

Are you trying to replace the stove top element, or oven element? For the stove top element, just lift up the side opposite where it plugs in and pull straight out.

The oven element usually have one or two screws holding a plate in near where the elements go into the back of the oven. Remove the screws and pull straight out. Reverse the procedure to install a new element. The top broil element will be secured in with a couple brackets to hold it up, these must be unscrewed, removed, and then pull the broil element out.

Remember to turn off power to the range before replacing any of the elements.
