Re: location of restart button

The reset button is the on/off button you have to hold it down for atleast 10 secs.

I have installed all the T60 drivers, chipsets, including Ati video driver and display and presentation driver but in device manager it still says the video controller driver is not installed?

It needs the vga drivers installed. If you have the motherboard cd, follow the instructions as follows; Right click on the "Video Control <Vga compatible>" Select "Update Driver" Select the button "No not this time only" (if you don't see this, skip to next step) Check "Include this location in the search" and click "Browse" and locate the vga or graphics or display folder in your cd directory (folders in your cd-rom) When you have selected the correct location, you'll be able to click "Ok" & "Next" you may get a warning message, just click "continue anyway" or "yes" whichever keeps you moving and it'll automatically install the driver, please note that when it's done, you'll be presented with a message "Restart now" or "restart later" you can select whatever is best for you. If you select "Restart now" the system will automatically restart itself and the problem will be fixed. In case if you don't restart, the changes in the display will take affect until you restart your system. Just wondering did you download ATI Radeon...or Catalyst? Might make a difference if you don't have the CD.Good luck.
If this helps you resolve your problem, please
consider giving me a good rating and a quick
thanks or good job.It will help me as well.
Thank you.

Window's will not load... desperate need of help

Try this, hook up an external monitor to this PC, usually the F8 key allows you to enable the port to extend video to an external monitor, it varies on each PC. Either way try an external monitor see if the image comes up on that. My suspcion is that the Backlight for the LCD monitor is bad and needs repair. Get back to me please. I would like to no... I am pretty certain that is the case here!
