Stop running so many applications.
You have less hard drive space on C: than I have memory on my computer. I am currently running 2.85G memory utilisation - if that was your laptp, that means nearly all of your disk is used up by virtual memory.
You can change your swap space to your 16G drive - go to desktop. right mouse on My computer> Properties > Advanced > Performance > Advanced > Virtual Memory
Change the location and size of your swap file.
You can also add more real memory - that is the most efficient and effective way to increase your performance as well.

Deleted partition on asus eee pc900

If you set the bios to boot from USB. Place your USB Bootable stick into the USB socket and boot from it.
Windows will find the hdd and format it before putting Windows on it.
What has happened is the hdd name is missing from the system and it requires initializing before you can see it.

Fake 16 gig sony memory stick

I think instead of waisting your time, go out and buy a new quality name brand memory stick from a reputable dealer. These devices are very cheap in cost these days. This way you will have what you want, it will work properly, and it will have a warranty from the dealer and the manufacture.

I use a lot of these memory sticks. I have some that I share with people work with. We never had any problems with them unless a stick got water in to it or was accidently stepped on.

Thank you for your help last time

256 mb of memory is not very much. It's the bare minimum you can get by with running Windows XP. Adding more would certainly be an improvement.
Only 1 gig of free space left on an 80 gig hard drive is not much room for Windows to work with. I would definitely try to get rid of or back up some files to make more room. You should also run a system clean up and do a defragmentation of the hard drive.

You should keep your anti virus software up to date if you have one installed. If not you can go HERE and run Trend Micro's Houscall on your PC. Viruses and Spyware will bog down a system and cause it to run extremely slow.

4 gigs of ram on xp 32 bit

Depends on how much memory your motherboard can accomodate. If *********** board can support 4 gig then just plug your ram and it should work.. xp supports up to 4 gig of ram so even if you connect an 8 gig,it will only recognize the 4gig. Hope this help,
