It is dirty - go through the cleaning process - you have dirt on a roller.

I've had this printer for over a year now. I have it set up wirelessly connected to my network. The biggest problem I have is that I have 3 computers in the household and sometimes, for whatever reason, this printer will not realize it is done printing from the last job and will continue to think that it is working. So, when you go to print to it from another computer, you get the Another computer is using the printer. Please wait. This will continue until you go and turn the printer off and wait for the insanely long turning off cycle, then turn it back on. <br /><br />Once you do get it working, it gives you great output for both text and photos. I have been doing a lot of scanning old black and white family negatives and printing them, and my family members thought the prints were from a photo lab. <br /><br />Bottom line: if you want excellent output and have a tolerance for quirky connections, you will be OK with this. If, like my wife, you just want it to work like an appliance, and find the locking up infuriating, I would not recommend it.

As rated by CU, it produces very nice photo prints. Text quality is also good when set on standard but not so good on fast. It takes it's time to get started when you send it something to print, whirring and clicking for a good minute before anything actually prints. My main complaint is paper handling. I sometimes print mailing labels from sheets. My previous printer, an HP 7560, would accept a sheet with an upward curled front lip. The Canon iP7220 either doesn't accept it or jams up solidly.

Tried brochure paper and spent two days trying to get color right. Used glossy and matte photo paper for great print results, mostly. color shifted for no apparent reason. First batch of matte paper worked great, others jammed every 2-5 sheets. Will not pick up matte paper sometimes, gets worse the more I try.

I have a canon powershot a520 and it refreshes vary slow so it takes forever to take another photo. How do I fix this?

Hi,

I've got a A520 also, and I think theres a few reasons why it can take a while between shots.

1) When using the flash, flash needs several seconds to recharge, this is unavoidable.
2) Some SD cards are slower than others. Make sure you buy a fast one. Note too that a 2Gb or 4Gb card will slow down your camera between shots, compared to a smaller memory card, such as 1Gb, or 512mb.
3) If using a slow shutter speed, such as 10 or 15 seconds, I've found it takes longer to take the next photo. This is unavoidable.

4) You could lower the resolution of the photos you're taking, this will enable you to take photos faster, and may still be good enough for applications such as Facebook, ect.

5) Another trick is to use the multiple shots option. For some reason you can take more photos more quickly than if you manually take each photo. Flash, and slow shutter speeds may still slow down the camera, if used.

Hope these hints help!

My f340 all in one printer-scanner and copier, is copping very slow from the start copy

Hi theodo13
If your document has typing and line drawings only the printer will priint according to the speed they claim to have.
However if there are few photos, scanned images or color shadings, the printer becomes very slow.
Try to print a page of typed text only, then you will know there is actually a problem with the printer.

Have a good day

Epson R230 print slow at PHOTO, very slow at BEST PHOTO, if you do not need photo quality prints try printng at TEXT AND IMAGE for faster printing and the quality is still good. Also try to lower the resolution of that you are about to print, high the resoluton images takes longer time to print. Hope this will help you, Good luck!

Photo and video mode slow along with rest

If you mean that all you see in the viewfinder is puprle (or a bunch of other colors/lines/patterns) then the CCD is damaged or a ribbon connector has come loose. Either way it is going to require service.
