Mitel 5212 ip phone - display has disappeared, can i get it back?
Came into work on Monday and the display screen was blank - have tried turning the contrast up and down but it still shows nothing. Is there a way to turn it back on?
I assume you have tried using the up and down arrows whilst the phone is on hook. If you have tried that have you reset the phone by pulling the power out and plugging it back in. If that does not work it could be a faulty phone had one go the same on me last week. If the phone is under 1 year old it can be replaced FOCI assume you have tried using the up and down arrows whilst the phone is on hook. Hi this is probably because the phone has gone to Hotdesk mode and your company blocks hotdesk phones from making external calls. You will need to log back into the phone. If you know your extention number you can press *96 on the phone you then need to enter your extention number and press # you then need to enter a pin number. If you do not know your oin or have not been given one try pressing # again if the phone reasks for the pin you will need to contact your systems administrator to reset your pin - Hope this helps (ps *97 loggs the phone out)
You can find allot of headsets that will work by googling the set type and the word headset. But I think what you are looking for is found i the programming of your phone system. In the class of service you can have the option for silent monitoring turned on and in feature access code add a code for Monitoring. Yes you are correct this is something for your Mitel vendor complete but i'm sure they would be happy to help.
There are a number of Headset that will plug directy into the back of your 5212 phone. (I would suggest Googling for results) As for Monitoring an agent the MitelICP has the capability to allow a supervisor to dial a code and mointor the agent while on a call. Contact you Mitel Vendor and I'm sure they would be happy to make the program chage for you. (This is a class of service and Feature acces code change)
No you cannot.
The Mitel 5212 uses propitiatory software unlike SKYPE which uses open architecture software. You IS Dept. could invest into a Teleworker Server and you could have all of the features of your office phone at home.
