The water solenoid valve should have 120v going to it. (You will need a multimeter to chk this). You will need to also chk. for proper ground when verifying the 120v. If you get 120v on each of the pin clips, then your plug is not properly grounded, which means that you need a new ice maker circuit board. This is located in the in dispenser (front panel opens).

SOURCE: GE model GSH25JFTACC ice maker not working

When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

i would first check water supply to ref. measure the resistance of coil either open or resistance. if all this is ok then exit side of line needs to be checked for water.

Check to see if there is any obstruction (object of any kind) in the ice cube mold area. If nothing found, you will have to replace the icemaker, as individual repair parts are not available.

SOURCE: Water overflowing in ice maker tray on a GE

make sure your refrigerator unit is level first . If it is , and you have eight square faced plastic cover on the front of the ice maker itself that can be removed by un- snapping it, remove it and see if there is a small screw with a spring underneath it or positive or negative arrow's on the unit where the screw is located. Regardless, if there is a screw all by itself turned the screw 1/2 turn Counterclockwise. this will decrease the amount of time the water valve is open during the ice bin filling cycle.

Gss20I eph ice maker ?? If I turn the switch of

I am almost sure the model ice maker for your refrigerator is Click Here=> WR30X10093 and the model number for your refrigerator is GSS20IEPHWW or SS for Stainless. It sounds as if a bad connection on the ice fill arm. The truth is they are electronic and made in China along with most of the parts on your GE. I replaced mine that was the mechanical type with this same model number WR30X10093 and the mechanical lasted 15 years. If you manually can make it work one time and fills properly but after one cycle yet turns itself off my focus is on the ice maker. If you want to check OHM's to the dual water control valves they should both be about the same. Applying 120 volts to each side of the coils being water dispenser side and ice maker side will or should open them. But you just said that moving the arm that it will fill one time so I am back to the ice maker again. If water control valve for ice maker side did not work you would not be able to do that. GE Monogram leaking water on right side bottom door

If this refrigerator has a Energy Saver mode, turn it on.

Then, check the door gasket for the refrigerator to make sure it's not leaking. Test by placing a crisp dollar bill on the door jamb with the door open, close the door, and you should feel resistance to pulling the dollar out. Check with particular emphasis on the place where you see water leaking or accumulating

GE Monogram ZISS480DMCS Ice Maker Problem

Check and make sure that the float arm in the ice bin is down and able to swing. This arm should be down until the bin is full of ice which would raise the arm and stop any water flow until ice cubes are removed, and allows the arm to drop again to start the cycle all over again, to replace the ice that was used. The arm has a spot to snap in and be held where it would be in a position all the way raised, to allow the bin to come out for cleaning or all of the ice removal from the bin, such as to dump the ice in a cooler. The arm should be gently pulled down to hang freely and will slowly raise on its own as the bin fills with ice.
