Question about Canon PowerShot S500 IXUS 500 Digital Camera
The camera switches on ok, but when i try to take pictures there appears to be fuzzy lines across the live view display to the extent that it is impossible to tell what is in the picture, If i wave my hand infront of the lens you can see movement but cannot make out any picture. The picture taken appears exactly as on view display.
Canon Customer Support line at 1-800-828-4040. Support hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 12 midnight, and Saturday from 10am-8pm. (All times EST.)
They will fix it free of charge if it is a CCD problem.
Older models in the 2003-2006 range.
They will send an e-mail with a pdf form.
Ship it to them and it will return in 7 days ready to go again.
