Question about Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Carrier won't move to center so cartridges can be inserted.

Cartridges were removed to clean printer. Cartridge carrier is now positioned to the far right and will not return to center area. Printer shows error code 6500.

    What the heck is the data cable I am to re-attach? Where do I find it? I see three thin ribbon type cable s(?)and a wide white cabe(?) that all seem to be under tension.

White wide cable is called data cable.also check if motor connections inside the printer are well connected as if its not connected properly or loose than it wont be able to move the carriage

Just reattch data cable to cartrdge carrier.
Also refix ink cartirdges into it.
Put some oil in ink cartrdge carier bus .

How do i install mt inks


Please follow the steps below on how to install/replace ink cartridges on your model:
  1. Make sure the All-In-One is on.
  2. Lift the scanner unit until the scanner support keeps it open. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the All-In-One is busy.
  3. Grasp the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids.
  4. Remove the old cartridges. Store them in an air-tight container or dispose of them.
  5. If you are installing new cartridges, remove the stickers and transparent tape from the bottom of the cartridges.
  6. Insert the new cartridges. Make sure the black print cartridge is secure in the right carrier and the color cartridge is secure in the left carrier, and then snap the lids closed.
  7. Lift the scanner unit and push the scanner support back while lowering the scanner unit until it is completely closed.

You can purchase cartridges online from www.lexmark.com. Lexmark cartridges are also available in some large office supply stores.
To replace a cartridge on your printer, please follow the steps below:

How do i change my lexmark x4650 print cartrige?
