You can print on labels without special software, or you can use software from the label company. There are label applicators that help center the label, but you can do that yourself if you are careful.
Or, you can get a printer, like the Epson photo 200 series that will print directly onto a CD, and comes with all the hardware and software.

You need to install (or download then install) the Easy-print toolbox software. It should be available on the Canon website. When you run it, it shows options for printing photos and cds. Click the cd button and follow the instructions. (You just choose a picture, photo, text etc. and position it using the cd displayed on the screen. Then insert the cd into the special holder, push it in some of the way, then allof the way when it says to.)
Ps - it's best to download the latest of everything (all software, drivers etc.) for your printer to make sure you have the most up-to-date versions.
You need to download a CD cover creator software. If you also want to print your own CD label stickers (round ones for the disk) you will need also to buy CD avery templates.
