Even though it beeps it might not be the memory the specs show this is a lower end motherboard and the board itself could be the problem hp pav. 9000 series are known for this.

Beeping when you start it up

The memory stick may have gone bad. Try changing the memory. A faulty memory will cause the computer to beep while the booting starts.

It actually sounds like your memory is corrupt. I would look into purchasing new RAM. In order to ensure you find what your system takes, I have taken the liberty of looking it up for you.

Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*
*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory.

you can find a 2x1 gb set for $60.

Good Luck!

Then pull cmos cell from motherbord for 10 minutes.
Refix RAM memory.
Reconnect ATX power connector to motherboard.

Laptop Beeps on start up 1 long and two short beeps

You've checked the memory board/card, but have you tried using another memory card? The 1 long followed by 2 short beeps indicates that there's a problem with the memory card. Try to remove the memory card, then wipe the gold traces with a dry cloth and put it back in.

If you try replacing the memory card but you get the same problem, then proceed with the video card.
