Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
The reason why its not formatting and staying at 0% is because the hard drive is bad and needs to be replaced.

Its on the right hand side of the page and it has pics as well. Its fairly easy and you'll have a working ps3 again.

Press and hold the power button until
the systems shuts off. (wait 2 seconds)
Press and hold the power button again
until you here 3 beeps. Let go.
If you have a HDMI cable, plug it up,
if you have AV plug it in as well. If you have both settings on your
TV, be sure to have them both inserted into the system. Also, make
sure that you are switching your TV from HDMI to AV and vice versa.
It should ask you to connect your
controller via usb and press the PS button in
the middle of your controller. There
will be a menu with 6 options. Try 1-5
If none of this works:
ou will need to replace the HD.
When you replace your hard drive, you
will need to have the latest firmware on a
usb stick. Download the firmware from
the playstation official website onto a usb
stick. Once prompted by your system you
will need to insert the usb stick into the
PS3. Good luck..
