Have a toshiba tp 61H95 proj TV- want to connect panasonic dvd recorder and toshiba vhs recorder so I can copy family videos to dvd- can't get hook ups set up for both to work.

Select AV-1 or some thing in TV and plug DVD recorder Video-Audio output in AV-1 input of TV, playback any DVD and confirm its picture and sound in TV. Press Stop button of DVD recorder to stop playback.
Now plug Video-Audio output of VCR in DVD recorder input and select AV Input in DVD recorder, insert VHS tape in VCR and playback it and confirm you get VHS picture and sound in TV via DVD recorder.
Hookup between TV, DVD recorder and VCR is completed.
Playback VHS tape in VCR, Insert blank DVD disc in DVD recorder and press Record while you see VHS tape picture in TV.
Hope this info will help you.

Please clarify how you have the dvd connected right now. You should use the video output out of dvd and into the t.v. That dvd don't have rf out. You have to match component or s-video or composite with what your tv has. We can't help because I don't know what inputs your T.V. has. You may have to come out of the cable box with video-outs/audio then into the dvd and then out to the t.v.. Remember, you MUST come OUT with the box and IN to the dvd, then OUT of dvd and IN to the t.v. Always out/in/out/in. You have 3 different formats. Depending on what the t.v. has is the one you will use. Composite is yellow cable...good then s-video used black cable with pins inside....better and Component uses 3 cables red/green/ Don't forget to also hook-up your audio signal too. This should be enough info for you to get it going. Remember too that you will need to set the dvd on your input the cablebox is on to feed the signal through. You can only record what the cable box is tuned to. That should do it. Good-luck.

Have a samsung Samsung LE26A456C and a toshiba dvd recorder. Have set up telly fine, set up video to play fine but cannot record

What is it that you are trying to record? If you are trying to record a DVD you have purchased onto a DVD-R, you will almost always run into a problem because most purchased DVDs have copyright codes burned into them, making them unrecordable. Most VHS tapes have these copyright protection codes in them as wel. If you are trying to record a television show, and are unable to do so, make sure that the DVD that you are using is compatible with your burner. If your burner is set up to record only DVD-R, then you must use only the DVD-R discs. If your burner is set up to record only DVD+R, then you must use only the DVD+R discs. Some burners will record both the DVD-R and DVD+R. If you have the right discs for your burner, make sure that the discs are correctly formatted to be recorded. Also, make sure that if you are recording from a cable box or other input that you have the correct unput channel selected on the burner. If these suggestions don't work, then it could be the brand of DVD that you have purchased (i.e. Sony,Maxell,TDK,Fuji,etc.). Check your manual for acceptable brands. I hope this helps you out. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Good Day;
No sound on what? DVD & VHS, okay?
Need more information:
1. Where don't you get any sound from?
2. Are you using cable box, sat.,or.....? What?
3. If box what type?
4. ANT, VIDEO, COMP, HDMI or ECT. inputs.
If you are using a cable box there are some boxes that have volume controls on them, please check volume level.
Please clarify what source you are using & check all 'other' cables.

Can't get second picture in Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

Watching two separate tv channels at the same time requires two tv channel sources,i.e. a split of some kind. For instance, the cable coming in thru the wall is split-half to tv or vcr/dvd combo and then to tv,the other half to cable box, then out to tv.If what I described fails, then you may have an actual tv failure.PIP video is generally a separate circuit from standard video. An expert tech w/service literature should be able to help. Let me know if you need more assistance.
