Advice not helpful at all . What does fault code f-08 mean and can it be fixed by myself ? Please do not reply if you cannot answer these questions and give a simple description of how to repair/rectify the fault.
    Merv.

Thanks , that was much more helpful . I have done as you suggested and pressure tube is clear . Heater element measures approx. 30 Ohms. Machine now displaying fauld code f-03 and pumping rinse water continously . Any suggestions ?
    Merv.

  • penman77 Jun 29, 2009

Pump is running continuously and is clear . Water is feeding all the time and the pump is clearing it to drain all the time also . Is f-03 an indication that the main PCB has failed if the pump is OK ?
This fault code only occurred after I cleared the previous blockage in the "ping-pong ball " filter after previous advice about fault code f-08 which was displayed.
I appreciate your patience and advice ,
    Merv.

Helpful comments and enabled me to progress the problem , but it seems that I will still need an expensive callout from a repairman,
    thanks all the same,
    Merv.

I have worked on one of these digital, electronic control washing machine. Now I am an experienced electronic technician, I have concluded that recuring codes in these machine, whatever the code is, a problem with the electronic circuit itself. I have exhausted everything I knew, and it all came down to trying to fix the board itself. It all came down to ordering the electronic controls. These are always a problem with poor electronic design. I looked carefully at the circuit, and it doesn't even have a surge protection varactor in there! The new one that came in I did put one to protect the electronic circuit from power surge, and never had problem since, and its been over a year now.

The F08 code is "Heater realy stuck or pressure switch jammed on full".

You may have 2 faults here.
The first is a blockage.
On the front below the door there is a kick plate, remove this and see if there is a filter there. If there is, put a couple of towels down and remove the filter. Any water in the machine will run out so be prepared. Clean out the debris and try the machine again.
If there is no filter, unplug the appliance from the wall socket, pull the machine out and remove the panel on the rear. Look in and remove the hose you see on the bottom of the tub, in there you'll find what's causing the blockage.
You need a multimeter to carry out some of the tests.
Check wash heater for continuity, normally around 25 ohms.
Check the connections to the pcb are clean and tight.
Check the pressure chamber and tube to the pressure switch clear and clear. still failing it's likely to be a pcb fault.
Hope This helps. please rate my answer.

It's a water pump problem. Either the circuit is gone or the pump.
    Hope this helps.

Yes you can do it.
First unplug power code from it.Then again attch power code .
Then go to menu and reset all settings to factory defaults.
Then that error is gone.

Fault codes for indesit washing machine, the display shows F-08

F08 means that the heater relay is stuck or cannot be activated for some reason, this has the effect of stopping the water heater from working.
The only thing you can do is to test the heater, and see if it is o/k.,if it is , then you there is not much else you can do, except call an engineer.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

F05 means that the pressure switch is jammed on full.
You need to check the pump is pumping out o/k, and if there is a filter, check and clean.
