Yes, it can print on legal size paper.
Do the following:
Lower the paper tray, and if necessary, slide the paper-width guide to the
outermost position.
Fold out the paper-tray extender to catch paper as it exits the device.
Tip: For best results when loading legal-size paper, fold in the
paper-tray extender before loading the paper to avoid a paper
jam.
Hi,
follw the given step and check- 1-Before printing your document, be sure the page size is set to legal paper. Go to "File> Page Setup" and then click on the "Paper Size" tab. Select "Legal" from the drop-down menu.
2-Go to the printer and take out the paper tray. Remove the letter size paper.
3-Insert about one half of the package of legal size paper into the tray, depending on the depth of your tray. Larger printers can accept an entire package, while smaller ones cannot.
4-Make sure that the paper goes underneath the metal clips located at both the front and back of the tray.
5-For printers that don't have a tray, you'll have to manually feed the legal size paper. Locate the paper feed either on the front or rear of the printer.
6-Put a few sheets of legal size paper into the paper feed. The paper should be placed as close to the rubber spindles as possible. These spindles will draw the paper into the machine and feed it through the printer.
Do NOT use customized paper. Set your paper tray to LEGAL paper. Set the tray as LEGAL in the printers setup-menu. Make sure you choose LEGAL in the printout-dialog-properties. Then it should work. Good Luck.
In your print queue under device settings, you have to tell the computer that your using legal paper and in which tray. ----- You can permently set it like this....
Start > Control Panels > Printer and Faxes > Right Click on the Printer Icon > Properties > Device Settings and choose the Tray and assign the Paper Size.
If the tray is not selectable, look in the same area for Installable Options and set the tray as installed.
----- Within a program you can do it on the fly one time like this...
File > Print > Properties > Advanced > Paper Size But, the paper must be in a default tray for this mode.
