No, the oiler from the 350 will not fit the 240.

SOURCE: husqvarna 340 oiler not working

Hello again Rudy.
Please reply below (Add Comments) with the serial number of your saw then I can investigate a little further.
You can reply even when the question is closed. I am not certain how but I get email notification of your reply when done correctly. If equipped the oiler adjustment is below the crankshaft on the clutch side. Look up from the bottom. On the side of my 359 is an icon of a link of chain with a drop of oil above it. The oiler adjustment is aft of that and can only be seen from the bottom of the saw. The manual I saw said 3 position only with CCW (3 - 18 to 20" bar) most oil. Forcing it beyond the stops causes a lot of problems.

Is your serial number is between 07 18##### and 08 17#####?
Page 5 item 1 shows location of the serial number. Not all newer saws have an adjustable oiler. Please reply below.

SOURCE: husqvarna 345 bar oiler

Remove the bar and chain. Start the engine and observe the oil delivery port in the side of the engine case. At a fairly fast speed, the oil should ooze out of the port. If little or nothing, check the pump, lines, and in-tank filter. If ok, clean the bar drive-end holes of sawdust and dirt, especially the small passages that go from the large holes out to the chain groove. Clean the entire groove and the outer end sprocket. Reassemble and test the oiling by running the bar tip at speed in front of a piece of cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil after several moments. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: how do you adjust the oiler on a husqvarna 268 xp

use the control screw on the oil pump

it is located on the top left side of the oil pump casing to the left of the sprocket with the chain and bar off

turn it anti clockwise the check oil output
( no chain and bar on ) if still not right try the other direction
and retry if still not putting out enough oil

may need to clean tank and pickup filter
check pump driver and drum , check oil oulet line
check oil pump itself - it could be worn or air is getting in on the oil inlet side and it not drawing oil

to get these pumps out remove clutch and drum , remove pump drinver
undo 4 x screws and remove pump assy plate

here is web site for parts
http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=husqvarna&mn=268+%281997-01%29

go to oil pump clutch you will see parts relationship

cheers hope it helps

Husqvarna chain saw oiler problem

I fear you are correct about the oiler problem. I see a lot of oiler problems on these saws. Sooner or later Husky will have to address it. Ask the dealer about modifying your oiler; the 350 has an adjustable and might fit 1 or both of these saws. I think Husky needs to admit the nonadjustable is a mistake, and come up with a fix.

If you want to do some research start with the IPLs here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – useful when downloading IPLs and Manuals
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week
Please post back (below) with what happens at the dealer. Take your buddy and his saw with you! Good Luck. HTH

If Husky starts modifying all these with 350 oilers I want compensation...LOL

I need a bow blade to fit a 455 husqvarna

I make no guarantee of the applicability of this research. I recommend you contact "CheapChainsawParts.com" (or 1 (800) 438-0668) to verify this application.

Methodology to arrive at the bow part number "HQ-100"
An Oregon bar for a Husky 455 is mount/oiler configuration "095" ( the last part of any Oregon replacement bar).
A Oregon bar for a Husky 55 is also mount/oiler configuration "095".
You can check my Oregon research here:
Oregon Bar & Chain Selector
http://www.oregonchain.com/pro/lookups/selguide.aspx?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG

This bow
http://www.cheapchainsawparts.com/cmp_HQ-100_part.html
is the replacement bow for a Husky 55; it should also fit a Husky 455. I make no affirmation there are no modifications required, applicability of this application, or even that it will fit.

Please reply below with what you found . TIA

Using way to much oil

This is a Husky 455 Operator's Manual (May 2009)

Page 37 explains the oiler adjustment. CAUTION: is has only 3 positions, forcing it to far CW or CCW will damage your saw. Against the CW stop is the minimum oil position.

Chain oil leaks. repair shop. no need to repair. will start leaking again after few uses. is this true ? husqvarna 359

My 359 doesn't weep oil, one of very few that don't. But the oiler has never been turned above 3 or below 1.
Did you perhaps turn the oiler adjustment to far? It has only 3 positions. Check your manual.
Return it to the repair shop and make them stand by their work. If it stops when picked up from repair shop then starts again later something you are doing is the likely cause. Read your manual about oiler adjustment.
You can find both an Operator's Manual and an IPL here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

Ive just bought a husqvarna 34 husky is this the model number 34? its serial number is 016810 but i cannot find details of it anywhere an want a manual can you tell me mixture also its my first chainsaw,...

Get Chain lube for the chain oiler. Naturally, husqvarna recommends that you use "genuine husqvarna" oil for your mixture, I recommend a quality oil, doesn't have to be husky. Husqvarna recommends a 50:1 ratio, other manufacturers, of vertually all 2 cycle power equiptment use a 40:1 ratio. This mixture is slightly richer, but will not hurt your chainsaw. May produce a bit more smoke. Not sure what a 34 husky is...neither is Husqvarna, I visited the website and even tried to download a manual. Looked at every husky model, no 34.
