I have an Sansa clip + Mp3 player ...... I want to charge it without using any computer or laptop .... can I use an external Ac adaptor for charging ...?????? n also I want to know the charging...

Yes, you can use an external AC charger to charge it. The charging specification is between 100-240V 50HZ. So your mp3 is safe for charging. Goodluck.

My sandisk-sansa mp3 is not getting charged even though its connected .Its a new piece and what should i do

There is a reset switch a small hole through which you can use an office pin to reset. After this use the USB cable to charge from your PC. If any file was loaded use the PC to get access to the memory. Do a full scan of the memory and delete any malware in the sansa.
After this the set might take up charging,if not you must be able to get warranty on the device if it was bought with warranty.
Hope you try this out. good day

I plug my sansa clip 2gig into a ps2 to charge with a usb cord and it looks like its charging but when i take it off the usb cord the battery is still dead

The internal rechargeable is obviously not retaining the current: if the device is around 18months or has been in heavy use (around 500 charges), the Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery is well past its useful life and needs to be replaced. It may of course be really defective! Unless you can perform this delicate operation yourself, the cost to replace the internal battery may not be justifiable.

Charging

By plugging it into your computer - takes about 3 hours the first time. Make sure your hold/lock switch is not engaged, or the player will not charge.
