My son physically and in weight outgrew his capsule at 9 months. If you want a booster to tilt you need to get one like MotherCare. I used the Edinburgh one with 5 point harness and to tilt him back put a cushion on the side of his head to keep it up and a pillow behind him till he was old enough to sit on his own. He still sleeps in the carseat and is nearly two but his head doesn't flop to much so all good. If your son cannot hold his head up on his own at 9 months I definitely recommed you get a different seat which has the tilt option on it.

The seat tilts after correct installation with buckle

Hi

This is not a realistic movement for the carseat - it wouldn't be tilted like this in an accident so it is not something that can correctly confirm a good fitting.

Was the carseat fitted by a trained member of staff prior to purchase and confirmed suitable? Did they demonstrate how to correctly fit it using the seatbelt only?

I have a 6 months baby, should I get a high chair or a booster?

: I recommend getting ahigh chair for babies in this age. Boosters will not provide the body sidesupport a baby needs. When your baby is sitting and stable (when about 1.5-2Years, than it is safer to try a booster.

Before you use that seat, it is important to find out if it is any longer an approved seat. Nearly all baby seats over five years old are being reclassified. The manufacturer's website will have information about covers and whether or not it is still considered safe. Just figured out you may be in the UK. I have no idea what the rules for your area are, as I am more familiar with US safety policies. Hi,
please feel free to call at 1-800-544-1108 and they can send you a manual in case you dont have it.

*To convert the car seat into a booster seat, turn the car seat over and remove the pin that holds the base in place. tHEN REMOVE THE BELTS AND THE BUCKLE.
*To remove you need to bend/twist the keeper until you can push it UP through the seat and remove the belt/strap. It is now a booster seat for use with a lap/shoulder belt in the car. Store all the parts you removed in a ziploc bag for when your child outgrows it so it can be reused

You can use the base or just use the car's seat belts to hold the car seat in place. Make sure it is tight. Download the instructions from Graco or it should be on the side of the car seat on a sticker.

Hi,

If you visit this link http://www.quinny.com/quinny/forms/contact.aspx?mode=contact&language=gb-en You will be able to get some harness extenders that will make the little one more comfy. Also, ask about the XL Seat Unit as they may be able to offer this bigger seat unit free of charge ;-)

I hope this helps.

Types of car safety seats at a glance
The chart below is a quick guide on where to start your search. However, it’s important to read more about the features and how to use your car safety seat.
Age Type of Seat General Guideline Infants Infant seats and rear-facing convertible seats All infants should always ride rear-facing until they are at least 1 year of age and weigh at least 20 pounds. Toddlers/Preschoolers Convertible seats It is best to ride rear-facing as long as possible. Children 1 year of age and at least 20 pounds can ride forward-facing. School-aged children Booster seats Booster seats are for older children who have outgrown their forward-facing car safety seats. Children should stay in a booster seat until adult belts fit correctly (usually when a child reaches about 4' 9" in height and is between 8 and 12 years of age). Older children Seat belts Children who have outgrown their booster seats should ride in a lap and shoulder belt in the back seat until 13 years of age.

How to use recline function for britax kidfix seat?

A bit late to reply, but check out the video here;

Recline only works for ISO fit, basically put your hand into seat slot and grab the handle, push/pull to recline the seat
