Why do incoming calls on my samsung galaxy pocket come up as unknown?

If you imported all your sim contacts &google contacts the phone might now hav some numbers duplicated or even tripled and then does not know which name to display when you receive a call from a number listed on multiple accounts. Go to your contacts & check all the boxes to display all possible contacts you hav- sim, google, phone, sd card, etc. Go through the list &try to take out all the numbers listed under more than one contact name! Even if it is the same name! It takes some time to sort out if you hav a lot of contacts, but that fixed my problem! Good luck!

All incoming calls shown as unknown user

As you said in the question you are using sony ericsson. That is not a big problem. You just need to give the address proof to that service provider then it will not show unknown user.Other wise you can contact to you are nearest service center they will give you another sim but number will be same. Thanks for your question.

In samsung corby sometimes am getting call from unknown number. There is no contact in the name of unknown.Still i am receiving as 'Unknown'

Always happens. If there is no saved contact number there will show the number with 'Unknown' name. If you want to save the number with any name, then you might do that and after that if that number calls, it'll show the saved number.

Sometimes there are some incoming call that indicates only 'Unknown' with no number at all or '0000000000' that means callers have chose to hide ID or that is a VOIP call. Many operator permits to hide ID but not all.

Dear Sir, I am using Samsung SJ700 mobile phone. And sometimes I get incoming call with no number displayed on the screen. It just shows incoming call. Can you pls help me in sorting out this...

This happens when two or more similar (saving one number with different names) contacts is saved on your phonebook, i.e. if you've saved my number on the sim card with a name and at the same time you have my number (same number) on your phone's memory, the caller id will not be displayed, you'll only see the "Incoming Call" or "Call". So I would suggest you to please check the phonebook and delete (keep only one per number) if there are multiple similar contacts saved on your phonebook.

You can also reset the phone to Factory default, in case there's no problem with your phonebook/contacts.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a Nokia 5500 sport, incoming calls show as the number and not the name in the contacts. Help!

You should check how the number appears on you recent calls list.
If they appear different then how you put them into your contacts, try putting them in the same way and that should allow you to see the name of the person calling.
