Question about Smeg 24 in. DWI612 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Smeg DF612S All starts well but after 40 minutes stops with a beep and will not progress to the main wash cycle. Instead all programme lights come on (located on the left), along with the first 2 phase lights (the first two of the lights on the right hand panel). This indicates error code 3 (cannot pump out water), but water is entering and draining perfectly. Please advise.

Thanks, but almost took this machine apart, all water feeds good, all water exits good, I have made 100% sure that water (and air) can freely pass through all pipes. I'm considering thermostat problems in line with previous posts for similar models but can't be sure where it is located as the manal does not show it, really need access to some technical papers. Also considering a reset for the PCB but again no info out there.

Check to make sure there r no kinks’ in the drain line or that it is not clogged it sounds like the sensor is tripping because there is too much strain on the pump just like a breaker.

My Smeg dishwasher DWF 64 SSE won't go onto rinse or dry

Easy one first try this to see if it helps

Water pre-heating
Your dishwasher may pre-heat the water. If so, and if the water entering the dishwasher is cool, the heater may take up to half an hour to heat the water.

To avoid the wait, increase the incoming water temperature before turning on the dishwasher. Do that by running the kitchen sink faucet until the water runs hot. Or increase the temperature of the hot water to the entire house at the hot water heater.

Warning! To lessen the risk of scalding, don't set the hot water heater temperature higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
