Pearl MP3

my pearl mp3 player use to work and have songs on it but one day i turned it on and all the files were deleted and ever since then i cant put songs on it and it wont work on the USB connection.

I tryed playing my pearl one day and a lot of songs were gone, and about half of them were missing parts of the song. Now if I turn it on there is like part of the picture, also if I plug it into the computer is says there is nothing pluged into that port, unless I go to the properties and click on the drivers tab, but I cant do anything with it.
