GE Nautilus 24" Built-in Dishwasher
Problem for GE Nautilus 24" Built-in Dishwasher

Water is left in the cavity beneath the base filter

I have recently moved into a house that has a fitted Premier Electrolux (12 place setting) dishwasher. I have thoroughly cleaned it but when removing the base filter I noticed that, following a cycle, there is residual (relatively clean and hot) water lying there that that hasn't drained away. Is this normal or is there a blockage somewhere? If so...how do I clear it?

water under the filter is normal. Most diswashers do not drain completley- this acts as an air lock to prvent odours coming thru the drain hose
